I would imagine that LSU would have the ability to dig up enough inaction from the conference in regards to other members doing this stuff to make this go away.
I would also ask, why in the world would a sitting University President go along with this? That would basically say that the same shite can happen to you if you don't get in line.
Regardless, I realize it's a very financially bad idea but there is a large part of me that wishes LSU would just tell them to get fricked.

Didn't you read that Delenfag said "one official" said the presidents are "out for blood."?

Would require 11 schools
Maybe just 10, I would have to assume the school in question would not be included in the count. But that’s just an assumption…

likely would have to be 15-0
As was stated on TV earlier, it would take a 2/3rds vote.

The funny thing about all this is the SEC has shown their hand. They aren't looking to stop "pro" players from being on teams. They are trying to punish a member school for not towing the company line. The lawsuit claims LSU and Louisiana are violated the SEC's 1st amendment right of free association. Its laughable.

LSU should not only make a counterclaim but also file a third party claim against the other institutions who rostered a pro player and Ole Miss for playing an ineligible player. Make this suit conference wide. If this is the hill Sankey wants to die on, let's find out what role Ole Miss had in the Chambliss suit and dig through communications about the SEC's decision to not punish Texas football or Alabama basketball.

The SEC created a rule specifically about players with NFL contracts AFTER LSU signed Wright. Prior to late August, nothing in SEC bylaws said anything about players who had signed NFL contracts. The SEC is trying to change the rules and ex post facto bar LSU from playing/signing Wright and I think Harris. I do not understand how a competent court would view the SEC's actions about that new rule as affecting players who were signed before the rule existed. That is my understanding of the SEC's claim which involves breaking that new NFL rule and the "freedom of association" gambit which I find hilariously absurd given the entirety of civil rights laws.

I would love for the ACC or Big 12 to release a statement that should LSU be removed from the SEC they would welcome LSU with open arms.
I don't want LSU to leave the SEC, but this whole situation just got stupider especially the added bonus of lack of institutional control because Lane is a smart arse. Come on.

One would think that ESPN may have something to say should these cocksucking **** vote out one of the biggest money makers in their new media deal.

I'm sure ESPN would be fine with FSU or Miami replacing us.

What am I missing other than Sankey got his arse handed to him in court and now he is butthurt?
Exactly right. Sankey made a complete a$$ of himself. He is embarrassed.
He is overstepping. None of the other schools want to kick LSU out.

LSU would eventually find their way into the BIG 10. That’s the way college football is going anyway
