Still lost to Troy. That should disqualify him from ever getting an A for life.

So by your logic, Saban gets a C for life because he lost to ULM. Troy way is better than ULM so that's the decrease logic from a B you gave Coach O

Unlike you, I've actually commented on the topic at hand and given your boy some credit. You're in here doing your usual shitposting. So, not really following your logic there.

I think At this point B+ A- is fair.

Didn’t win 10 regular season games, wasn’t competitive with bama and lost 2 we shouldn’t, but we dominated a very good UGA

Vastly different situations. One was a top 10 talented team and the other was coming off a 6-6 season

At this point, I don't think Orgeron as a coach is the problem. It's the fact that he refuses to hire an offensive coordinator that will bring the offense into this century. That's what got Miles fired and it will get Orgeron fired as well if he doesn't adjust. Miles was a good head coach who just refused to update the offense. Miles could have been a damn legend at LSU and coached here until he retired if he would have just hired someone to fix the offensive problems. Orgeron seems to do a lot of things well but he keeps making coaching hires out of the nursing home and he's not giving himself much of a chance.

I don't understand the whole he's paranoid idea either. I've seen people claim he won't hire coaches because he's paranoid that they'll take his job. How many head coaches that win games and make the playoffs have you ever seen fired? If he brings in an OC to update the offense and wins 11 or 12 games why in the hell would they fire Orgeron? You can't fire a coach for winning and making the playoff. I don't give a shite who his assistants are.

Hog fans keep chirping about Morris' recruiting class coming in and how worthless Bert was his last two seasons. But the thing is, when Bert came in there in 2013, they were equally as horrible (they went 4-8 in 2012) and yet he had them playing tough, good football by the back half of that 2013 season. Hell, it took a hail mary from Jennings to Dural to beat them in TS. But that team this year regressed as the season went on. Their last two games were flat out awful.

And ULM was 4-6 before beating Saban and Bama. Including the 14 point win the week before against Grambling.

That 4-6 ULM team was all-world and very few teams beat them that year.

A- is a a fair grade

I would say and A if we didn’t get blown out by Bama but he had us in every game and we had several chances to go 11-1. Very difficult schedule and poor offensive talent by LSU’s standards

One could easily say the expectations were only so low because of 0, which allowed him to get a good coaching grade for beating the low expectations that he himself was responsible for.

He did good but he could do a lot better if he were allowed to hire who he wants at OC. I just refuse to believe that he truly wanted Steve E as his OC.

twist what? This article is simply an authors opinion. I disagree with it. I'd give O a B.

So who is holding him back from hiring who he wants? And why do you think this?

Their talking points will be that our expectations were too low and LSU fans are settling.

Now we all know that all offseason they ran the program down, predicted less than 8 wins and pointed out how we were forecasted to be 6th in the West and how low O was rated.

You have that backwards. The low expectations were from the people taking up for 0. Others expected results regardless of the coach.

The team was always well coached and disciplined. They never appeared disorganized. Solid coaching was evident.

LSU had more talent than 10 of the 12 teams on their schedule. So....not much overachieving going on at LSU.

Just because everyone thought O was going to shite the bed doesn't mean he overachieved with more talent than most.

I would've given him a B.

Beat A&M and he gets the A-

With anything that resembled a competent offense LSU would be 11-1 or maybe 12-0 in the regular season. And that’s why the grade is to high.
