Then SEC probably tries to remove the Baton Rouge lawsuit to federal court and consolidate.
This is all about the PI. The case will never see trial. So the move to federal court would be in pursuit of a stay.

The question would relate to odds of the SEC gaining a Federal Court stay of the Baton Rouge PI. It seems that would be a major uphill climb.

1) The damage of a Federal stay would disproportionately impact the parties. The players would be harmed permanently, while leaving the PI as is would "harm" the NCAA/Conferences one year only.

2)The Federal Anti-Injunction Act generally prohibits a federal court from issuing an injunction which stays proceedings in a state court, subject to narrow exceptions. It is a stretch to argue applicability of those exceptions in this instance.

When a party files notice of removal to federal court, the action is usually automatically stayed in state court. Then they slug it out in federal court on whether it belongs there.

Yup, thread was anchored.
