Yeah, unless I'm missing something?

It seems the presidents and ADs agreed today that they weren't going to give these players offers.

Can players then sue to play for a school that doesn't offer them a roster spot? That seems absurd.

I guess they could only sue all the conferences together for collusion to keep them out?

But if they win are they placed on teams against the will of the school itself?

Hard to see how this doesn't just effectively kill it aside from far-fetched lawsuits for lost potential NILearnings?

Yeah, I really don’t understand why our fans are dick riding this.

If they were eligible then sure, get them. But this is an absolute circus.

It isn't about these players playing for LSU. It's about selective enforcement of conference rules and creating a clear guideline as to who is eligible and who isn't.

For what?

Sankey is a smart man and had member schools by the balls. He told him what’s up, and Rousse is also a very smart man. Rousse did the prudent thing.

So does this include Cole Hutson at Texas?

After the Big Ten issued their ban, UCLA made a statement essentially saying they're still going to play Trent Hendrick, who was at NFL minicamps. Yet they seem to not be getting any flack for that.

Can the kids sue the SEC for disastrous harm to their ability to make money?

They have immense power over the member schools.

Yet not the courts. You think the courts will shut down the NCAA and not the SEC?

But they aren’t punishing the players. They are punishing the schools.

The SEC statement was very carefully worded not to be against the players.

Why does any conference care? It would just impact this year correct due to the 5 for 5 rule that these kids weren’t able to take advantage of?

Look, I don’t lsu to nuke its program for guys that will be marginal contributors. And if they don’t play, I don’t care.

But I also don’t think the sec will nuke one of its biggest brands over this either

Their power is against the institutions not the players.

Then the institutions get sued for collusion, limiting an individuals opportunity to earn an income, stating that SEC players make more in NIL than G5 players.

Just like the NCAA, the players will obtain an injunction against the SEC.
