Sean Payton gives his thoughts on Joe Brady

Little clip from Jacques on Sean Payton giving his thoughts on what Joe Brady was good with while with the Saints.
Says things like “A guy you could rely on occasionally to give information on to what a quarterback or a certain system might be doing.” Also said he was good with the RPOs and such. Sounded to me like Sean Payton was kind of struggling to find words to say about Brady.

Hopefully that’s the case

he prob hadn't given it a lot of thought lately and was improvising his answer as he spoke. that's the halting speech you hear.

I'm not saying he sucks. But Sean has had crazy good offenses for over a decade before Brady ever sniffed the saints.
And if you actually read into what Ed is saying. It's more of the Penn State rpos he's bringing. The, we are having the saints offense is retarded and you will be let down if you think that.

Payton is probably thinking why are these people acting like he made me or something?
Honestly it’s dumb to keep asking him questions about it.

He definitely fits the LSU OC mold.

Did I say that?
You Ed knob slobbers have some serious issues.
Brady was with the saints from 17-18. That's it. Ed said he's bringing rpos from Penn State, the penn state guys came down to br.
That was from the media days.

Nobody has said he sucks, just that’s he’s a young coach in his first real job and probably not nearly as big of an influence on the Saints staff as some here would have you believe.

I guess this is just how desperate we are honestly to have good QB play and a more explosive offense. A lot of people are probably just overreacting to the fact that we got a coach that was on the Saints staff. I think our real hope is that he learned a lot and he can maybe give better ideas at how to have a more explosive offense.

The coach says Brady's bringing in the Saints offense. Doesn't get much more clear than that.

This is why I have made literally zero comments about Brady, since he was hired. This is the first time I've brought him up.
I see all these posts popping up about him, and for the life of me, I have no idea what to expect from this guy who came from a team who didn't just discover a brand new offense upon his arrival. It's kind of what I thought when the Lions hired Joe Lombardi away from the Saints to be their offensive coordinator. I was wondering why the Lions thought the QB coach from a team with a Hall of Fame QB, and noted play caller at head coach was going to know anything about running an entire offense, simply because his team was successful. It seemed like a reach, and that turned out to be exactly the case.
I am not saying that Brady ISN'T some kind of offensive genius. I hope he is. My only point is that I have no idea why I should expect that. So I'm just going to wait it out and see.
Edit- I should add that I am further perplexed by the fact that Brady isn't even actually the offensive coordinator here. Hopefully he makes an impact on the receivers, but I don't know how much he will be allowed to usurp Ensminger's authority over the play calls.

Do NOT make threads like these!’ Tarnishing my dreams of putting all my faith into players & coaches before they play or work for LSU makes me ANGRY!!

LOL no shite; let’s just hope he has a photographic memory.

Exactly, which is why Sean giving someone so young so much responsibility is notable. I get the "Brady hasn't done anything yet at LSU" attitude, but let's not act like he seems poised to do great things. I can't wait to see this offense this Fall.

Yeah, Brady was totally the glue keeping that offense together.
