Fair criticism. It could have been done more discretely.

Correct. Every time I start to feel sorry for Scott and y'all remind me of this I kind of snap out of it.

He should have stood by Wade. I always felt not much would come from that. and it didn't.

I don't even normally like basketball, but Wade's energy had me invested as a fan. It was awesome really. He seemed to absolutely LOVE LSU.

And people forget, this clown was about to scam us for a $400 million dollar facility that could’ve been built for 100. The only thing that stopped it was the company he was in bed with having their CEO indicted.

He definitely was not batting 1000. However, football drives everything.

Instead, we’re left with men's basketball program still in disrepair and a total reset in football.

This isn’t the reason he was canned, but my God, the basketball program under his tenure was the most apathetic I’ve ever seen. I’m not even talking about the CMM hire (although that one felt lazy and based purely on a résumé).

The way the program’s been treated and allowed to decline was fireable enough in my eyes. If you let that happen to the second biggest sport in the country I mean you just aren't doing your job.

They definitely didn’t need to can Wade on the eve of the tournament. Should have let him finish the year. Definitely a horrible move.

They canned him because the thought of "what if he makes a run, then we can't fire him"

Remember we played Iowa state that year, I think they made it to the elite 8. Well what if that was LSU instead, the backlash would have been insane.

They literally nuked the season because they were scared of LSU having success with the coach. That is not LSU first... that is EGO first
