The LSU brass you’re talking about boils down to one person. The decision makers aren’t doing what you’re alleging and by making things up you’re making problems where there aren’t any.

You can make that hire in men’s basketball or gymnastics maybe, but football brings too much money and exposure to LSU. You have to go get the best coach possible when hiring for football. If he is black, then great. If he is white or Asian, great. Whoever is the BEST coach you can get is the guy LSU needs.

FYI, the athletic department already told the academic side how it was going to be when they threatened to cut the money. They will have a say but not the final say. That will be BOS, TAF and Woodward.

And because I'm sure these are all really about a particular rumored headcoach, Mel Tucker is 1000x the head coach O is and would be a great hire. I'm not convinced TAF is willing to spend quite that much because he'd be a double buyout hire that would want to make ~$7 millionish before natty and playoff incentives+he's a real NFL flight risk, but as a coach? Fantastic and should be one of the top targets.

Since 80% + of the team is black, a black coach should be a priority. There should be several very qualified black coaches who would jump at a chance to coach LSU.

I agree. People act like he isn’t coaching a too 10 team. While that’s true there is some justification to hire him. If he nosedives hiring an 8-4 coach won’t work out.
