Guidry will go pro after this year

He’s improved tremendously if this is beIng said because he was very raw a year ago

FWIW, Paul Jones on 247 had him as a backup at WR currently on their depth chart (From 2 days ago), not starting.

He also had Devonta Jason as a starter. So sounds like Guidry still has some work to do, while Jason has impressed enough so far to get a starting spot.

Edit - Someone asked about Guidry not starting and Paul Jones said he needed to get tougher and fight through some things, is missing a lot of practice time.

They're saying he looks like a top 3-4 round prospect. He's our #1 receiver.

You ms state fans like to act all happy go lucky, the lovable losers. Well now you’ve gotten a little taste of success and have been getting louder and louder this offseason.

Here’s the reminder that you will beat LSU now and again, especially under the current head coach, but never lose sight of the fact you are Mississippi state, you have never accomplished anything of note in football, and you never will accomplish anything of note in football.

As long as the revenue keeps flowing in, Alleva is safe. For an AD, it's primarily about money. i wish it wasn't like that, but that's just the way it is.

Then why didn’t the board extend his contract when they met last month?

Season ticket sales are down. The revenue is starting to decrease and fan morale is at an all time low.

The board isn’t stupid. If we continue to decline, no one’s position is safe. Not the HC, AD, President or anyone on the Board.

This is what LSU is now. Even if we go 8-4 it’s a shame the administration has a accepeted mediocrity.

To be fair, he said O won't be fired in the middle of the season. Says nothing about the END of the season.

If he goes 7-5, his arse is gone.

To be fair, maybe that's what he is saying....

The first college football coach fired …

I don’t know. I know it will not be Ed Orgeron. Folks from Vegas oddsmakers to ESPN the Magazine say his is the hottest seat in the game. I don’t think his seat is even the hottest in the Southeastern Conference.

Orgeron will, and should, get this second full season to prove himself.

You can relax, then. Scroll back a few pages and you’ll see that it’s actually about $5 million, with only $2 million due within 60 days of termination. From there it’s monthly payments spread over the life of the deal.

In fact, I know it’s no fun to give Alleva any credit at all, but it’s actually cheaper to fire him this Thanksgiving than it is on 1/1/19. His contract literally contains an example where if he is fired November 30, 2018 his buyout is $5,291,667. They even show the math for you.

On 1/1/19the total buyout “resets” to $6 million, again decreasing with every paycheck. A termination on Thanksgiving 2019 only costs about $2.5 million. But the buyout is set up that Orgeron is eminently fire-able after this season if need be.

You literally just proved exactly what I said.....

A full SECOND season, says nothing about a 3rd.

Not until Alleva's gone. There is 0% chance Alleva fires O.
