You can win with lesser athletes if you have the better scheme; and you can win with a lousy scheme if you have the better athletes.

But you can't win with neither!!

SELA moved the ball on us at will in the second half of our game. Are they better that we are?

Lol nothing is 100% anything, he 100% spot on. scheme could be better. Would we have won with perfect scheme? Maybe. Would we have won with great scheme? probably not.

Again, he was speaking to why we got shut out, scheme vs talent. Matt asked, Ryan said scheme 100%.

Complain about the scheme. It’s not the scheme. Name one player on offense that scares you...one. There is not one skill guy that can house it each time they touch the ball. Screens are simple but if you don’t make the first guy miss, it’s a 2 yard loss. It ain’t the scheme.

Flat out 100% false, there are schemes in college and various things you can do as a play caller if your offensive line cannot block.

Now does it make it that much harder? Obviously, but there were things they could have done to atleast score, just one score.

Thats the Orgeron mentality that pissed me off and a lot of other people. "We couldn't block, nothing we can do wait till next year I will fix it." The defensive line/defense did get some pressure occasionally.

Yeah. I mean what would a 12 year NFL veteran know about football? Did you know he has a Super Bowl ring just like Coach Cregg?

They performed dreadfully, no question, but I do think that they can do much better. That said, the offense is hopeless and needs a real OC who can use them to our advantage. SE is not the guy, God love him. That means, sadly, that neither is Edward Orgeron.

Nobody was complaining about the oline during that 7-1 start. Good coaches scheme around their team's strengths/weaknesses, LSU coaches didn't do that on Saturday night.

I always believed Matt Canada was innovative in his approach to offensive scheming. Would have liked to see what he could have done had he been given more time to implement his system.

Not saying its not partially scheme.......but, the reason you have to scheme differently against teams like Alabama is because your talent isnt quite as talented as theirs.

Your level of TALENT is determined by the choices of unpaid 18 year olds who can go anywhere in the country to play..

Your SCHEME is determined by very highly paid grown men.
What offense we run is entirely up to Ensminger and Orgeron.

It is their job to scheme with the talent they have. At this level, if they can’t do that well enough to win championships, then they are failing.
Whining about talent is counter-productive. And if you are whining because we don’t have an O-line that can match up with the best defensive lines and run smash mouth football, that is truly pointless. Such offensive linemen don’t grow on trees anywhere, but certainly not in Louisiana.

The coaches are severely limited in what they can do right now. Like it or not they have to get better players. I don't think it's fair to make those kinds of assertions until they get the personnel that they need in place. With the people coming back and the people in the pipeline there'll be few excuses accepted next season. It's asinine to want Steve to step down or be fired right now.

How many honestly thought LSU would be ready to compete for a national championship this year? The answer to that question is not very many. If I was coach O I would hedge my bets by hiring someone as an analyst that could step in at a moment's notice and take over.

Wrong. You scheme around your strengths and weaknesses. Scheme is a broad term in sports

We definitely would’ve had a better shot in the shotgun the whole game with 4 to 5 receivers running 2 min Offense

Our offense didn't do it's job. Asking our D to stop the tua machine all night with very few breaks is extremely tough.
