You know FIU and FAU are different schools right?

ETA: I know acronyms can get confusing especially in directional college football, so not trying to be a dick

The position pays between $150,000 and $217,357

I personally love the ranges BR positions have for any job opening. It is already about as obvious as you can get, but it further just screams as long as you have the right "makeup" they are looking for in a candidate they can find some way to justify any hire no matter how qualified they are. This guy has been with them I think it said since 2002 and JD from Harvard is pretty damn good. But you can be rest assured the max pay cut he is taking is a salary of $217,356
It could be interesting to see if LSU went with this model, little bit harder obviously because highly doubt you would be able to find a music/entertainment group willing to privately fund the venture for BR. But this would be one of the few ways to get the PMAC either replaced or renovated totally. I think building out suites and actually decreasing capacity would be good for LSU basketball, know a lo of people do not want to hear that.
Agreed Mizzou easily followed by Vandy distant second only because of where their kids come from, not because they are a tremendous academic institution.
Great preview as always, do not think I can continue as much in the spring. Think LSU wins in a very very close game, because it is at home and think Tremont gets back on track in a big way tomorrow
 :geauxtigers:

ETA: Think Mays on Lyons will be must watch basketball seeing Mays dart in and out of their screens they set a lot of off-both action. If our bigs do not out rebound this team I will be genuinely disappointed and be ready to flat out say we are softer than last year inside.

re: What players move on?

Posted by CoastTrashTiger on 12/20/18 at 10:31 pm
I think right now Dee Anderson is leaning more towards leaving as opposed to staying. Rashard Lawrence probably 50/50. Devin White is leaning more towards staying but that could change in a hurry. Fulton is probably 85% leaning more towards staying. Those are the draft eligible guys worth talking about.

Fehoko is staying 100%.

Could see Giles graduating and moving on, sometimes it just does not work out, he has been a stand up guy, leader and a true Tiger. I actually think Taylor and Ingram will be back....I agree with you as well on seeing one offensive lineman atleast moving on because of numbers. Definitely will be som numbers but max 3-4 guys get "processed". Probably closer to 1-2.

Greedy and Alexander have already declared.

I always wondered do you think Whiteboard guy who was like 28 in the student section was hitting that? Never got a chance to ask when he tried to post and explain why at 31 he thought it was okay to be in the front row of the student section.

re: Ed Alexander draft grade

My issue is not that he is leaving early, my issue is not playing in the bowl game. I think its a poor business decision as well as rubs me the wrong way if I am hearing what I am hearing about his grades and :pimp:.

Also Ole Miss will be looking for a new Head Coach soon enough, he should look into it.

Sorry for partying

you would have the 3rd or 4th ranked class every year in the big 12 but you are stuck in the sec west

I would not say it like that, Arky is not "stuck". Oklahoma is truly stuck right now in the Big 12, Clemson is stuck in the ACC and for the forseeable future, but Arky is glad just like every SEC school to be a part of now what is the best conference for athletics easily in the nation.

Why would I be motivated to vote for them?

Because in a two party system, if you are a consistent republican voter or just lean R, simply not voting let alone switching your vote is a vote for the Democrats. Very rare in American politics where it is voting for someone or something you believe in, its more about voting for the lesser of two evils. One group so happens to align with the Stalin/Mao brand of "evil", so for me it makes the decision pretty simple.
But you just said it, thats just LSU and LSU's football program is a select minority, you cannot say because of what goes on with LSU's football program is also the same at a majority of other college football programs because its certainly not.

You are competing with people with a degree so your sociology degree from LSU

In the real world being a scholarship football player that played at LSU, getting a degree in anything means you can compete within the "workforce" in a lot more fields than you are saying.

re: Delgado now off of Third St.

The problem started and ended with Delgado. Apparently he did not even pay taxes on some of businesses for years. Happy's is awesome but no way 10+ legit bars/nightclubs were ever going to make it down there if they were not used as fronts.

Everyone and their grandma has a college degree these days.

You keeps saying these ridiculous statements, do you really believe some of these "facts" you have come up with. Im not trying to be a dick, but first you said most college football players are not getting an education, then now a majority of the population are getting degrees....

Most college football players arent getting an education.

Well thats a pretty ridiculous statement. Bravo

Says if the league is interested in the healthy and safety of players

Neither is the players union at heart, that is why the CTE thing is truly going to go through the liberal grinder. By that I mean even if and players know fully now the risks involved with head injuries and football, almost every one of them will continue to play as long as someone will pay them to even with the information.
What Im saying it really sad. I think though the only shot is if the players who truly control the league go for no max individual player salaries out of greed. John Wall and Chris Paul's last years of their respective new deals are crazy and the teams know it but they really had little choice.

Did something crazy if you picked a team of 10 with guys making between $8-12M (excluding players still on rookie contracts) they would probably be a Top-4 seed in either conference. But there currently is not a single way a small market team can go about building depth like that, which is really the only way they could one day compete with a team that has 2-3 superstars.
Yeah, this is why trying to tell anybody that has not followed the rise of the program that even with some NBA caliber talent the rebuild is still a year away from having quality, SEC/inury proof depth. tbird you hit the nail on the head, Wayde would do a lot for this team this year, but even tragedy aside with this bridge year in recruiting year 4 will be a lot of fun. Final Four quality talent and depth in 2020-2021, with the 2020 recruiting class which is loaded, and we have 3-4 Top-50 prospects lined up. I think this team barely makes it into the tourney and I think the main reason being they have not played their best basketball yet.
