It’ll take a year and they would then change it back because of how much more difficult it is to shoot a larger ball into the same size goal
So, even by your own admission, what you are suggesting they change is dumb.

Get a damn grip man. Show me where the "entire country and liberal media" are pushing this agenda.

Why would you change the rim or ball size?
I’m saying rim diameter to match the men’s game. The ball is smaller because of their hand size so change the rim. They should be able to shoot at the same level of accuracy.
You're not considering that "basketball" is not just an organized sport, it's probably the single most universal casual/recreational sport/hobby/exercise. There are basketball goals everywhere, people shoot by themselves in their driveway, etc.
If you're a middle class parent with kids of both genders, are you suggesting a goal swap every fricking time your daughter wants to shoot?
I personally don't care if Caitlyn Clark passes Pete Maravich in total points, I know (as does everyone else) that a 6'5 man with simple high school talent would stomp her badly in a 1 on 1 competition... so I know who was "better". HORSE might get interesting (outside of dunks), 3 pt shooting might get interesting, but actual competitive play would be a wipeout.

Every league around the world uses 4 quarters. From the NBA down to biddy ball. The only league that uses 2 halves is men’s college basketball.
We are talking about being equal IN COLLEGE SPORTS. Not WNBA, NBA or buddy basketball.
So change the Men’s game…

Regarding an 8’ rim, that would make the 6’-8” girls like Cardoso 100% undefendable. No thanks. Size is already a much bigger factor in the women’s game. This would just exacerbate it.
he's talking about the diameter of the rim, not how high it is.

Was responding to the full thread of previous posts; trying to address all of the silly suggestions at once.

The ball in the women’s game is one inch smaller in diameter and 2 oz lighter.
Doesn’t seem like much of a difference.

rule change to a size 7
damn - I show my ignorance here - thanks for the first really new thing I have learned today /
did not know the sizes were different between men/women basketballs.

This made me laugh out loud
The ball is already smaller for women, why not lower the rim a bit?

Because it's a current story. Also, they need to find ways to get clicks and views when discussing WBB. It has been proven across all media, the best way to get clicks & views is to create controversy.
Say Clark does end up passing Pete's record, it will be a story this year, it will be the story to get her an ESPY and will be a story through the draft. Then no one will give a shite.

Actually, I believe the women's ball is one inch smaller in circumference, so more like .3 inches different in diameter.

Why do they play with a smaller ball then if it makes no difference? Just start using the same balls as the men.

The admins should ban you instead for wasting their time. There’s nothing offensive about this thread.
