I'm not a sunshine Pumper but I am sick of the negativity of the Rant where everyone just keeps harping on how we suck with no optimism at all. Try being a fan and support the team sometime!

H-Town, good point about not recruiting, but I think the horse crap comment is in response to the generic opinion "hiring young coaches is better than hiring experienced coaches". I agree ...that is horse crap. I'll take Jenkins all day as a D-Line coach!

Look dipshit.

Search my post history. I was more than ready for Les to be fired.

That does not mean he wasn’t the most successful coach in LSU history. That isn’t really debatable.

And the justifiable firing of Miles does not justify the completely dumb arse move of hiring Ed Orgeron to replace him. Short of pulling a random fan out of the stands to be head coach, Ed was the worst possible hire Alleva could have made. Especially considering that he had almost a whole season to search and vet coaches.

So frick you and YOUR nutsucking of the buffoon that continues to run the football program into the ground

Young coaches aren’t going to hitch their wagon to O

They will be OC at Muscle Schoals high on their next stop

What is the average age of our coaches? Pretty average I’d say. Y’all point out the 3-4 out of the entire staff and that’s it. Most of the staff is middle-aged or younge

the average age of a p5 coach is 44.

Historically he's just about correct. LSU every so often pops up and wins a national championship, but overall we are Georgia

Actually your comments show that you are one of our fans with a chronic inferiority complex brought about by a case of congenital catastrophe syndrome

We go from hiring one of the most well thought of ones in college football to one no one had thought of in bout 20 yrs. Telll me that’s not insane?

Canada was not that well thought of as a coach or a person. He's average at best. He got a lot of love from this board and a few other people around the country when he beat Clemson while on the Pitt staff......I did not see his Pitt team winning an ACC championship or even in the hunt....ditto for his NC State teams

According to whom? Joe Novak spoke glowingly about Canada's player development when interviewed on Sports Today last year. Pat Narduzzi said the offense was easy to learn and he wanted to keep running it after Canada left.

Hell, everyone knows Pitt's defense sucked. And NC State hasn't won a conference title since Bo Rein was there.

I guess I didn't realize offensive coordinators were responsible for the success or failure of entire programs. Orgeron should be fine then if Ensminger doesn't work out.

“Canada was not that well thought of as a coach”

So, we paid 1.5 mil a yr for 3 yrs. for a “not that well thought of as a coach” guy??? Didn’t coach O call Canada an offensive genius little more than a yr. ago? Didn’t Canada win a national award or come in 2nd for OC of the yr. or something like that?

I think the jury is stil out on Canada. A lot of stuff will be a lot more clear by November. imo

You want real fresh ideas? Hire a few 10 year olds.

I support my team. I cheer For them to win.

But I dont Like the fricking snake oils salesmen and the ego maniac who are running the team into the ground.

Every move they’ve made has been to strengthen their control and boost their ego. Not to make the team better.

I do think it’s pretty funny that Saban doesn’t win he national title in recruiting and immediately make changes on his staff to make them younger and we made changes To get older. Same conference. Same division. One is the greatest coach of all time. One is the worst coach in Ole Miss’s history. I wonder who’s strategy is gonna work....
Yep, Nick just hired Butch Jones for his Shadow Staff.

We're hiring coaches from Savannah State and Southwest Louisiana Junior College at Louisville.

Just don't see this thing working out long-term; at least in the capacity of overtaking and replacing Bama as the SEC West Champion.

We'll still win 8-9 games, but that's not good enough any longer.

It certainly IS for all the L3's (Louisiana Lifer Losers) and non-competitive meek geek cheerleader MA types. They're the problem. Too many with low expectations in the current adult fan base.

but he also said assistants can’t be more importaant than the HC

This is true, and in our case the assistants, at least Aranda, is far more valuable than the head coach.

quote:

He also said how Saban was making his staff younger, he’s looking ahead and wanted fresh ideas on his staff. Meanwhile we’re hiring a 60 yo that hasn’t been an OC in 20 years and 73 yo WR coach and another retiree as ST coach

To be fair, these young coaches are willing to jump ship at the chance to work for Saban. Meanwhile, no one wants to work for Coach O, I mean Ensminger didn't even want the OC position, Coach O had to talk him into it after no one else wanted it.
