You are right....one could argue all those points. But it would all be speculation. I dont know if the guy is a good OC. But you dont know that he's not. So its definitely not an insane hire. With all that experience (as you pointed out, Goldrush)...I'd say its nowhere close to being insane. So theres no reason to say ridiculous things. If you talk objectively, whether I agree or not I'll respect it. But if you just say ridiculous things, then I'll know for sure that you voted for Hillary and I'll be very dissappointed in you.

I'm not in favor of making hires that have to defy the odds. It's hard enough to win in CFB when you make good hires, guys that are well versed in modern concepts.

You're right, I don't know that he'll be a bad OC but his odds of being a good one are lower than it would be with about 20 other guys out there that would've taken the job if offered.

Solo, agreed. I grew up in south La and I dont talk like that. I think its a dumb argument and makes the person saying that look very simple.

Rece is a Bama alum, therefore he wants O to stay at LSU for as long as possible.

What about my comment are you having trouble understanding?

Ensminger hasn't been hired to be a full time OC in 20 years. You take 100 former OCs that also have not been hired to be OCs in that time frame and we're probably looking at a lackluster group of OCs. Would you disagree?

What are the chances that any of those guys are going to excel in today's college football? Generally speaking, to perform well at a job, you have to have done it recently.

It's just a hire that defies logic. What O is betting on is we have the one guy out of that group that's going to defy probability.
