Boutte was given a shot in the first drive and dropped the ball, Boutte ram his routes with about a 1/4 effort, Boutte had another perfectly thrown slant route hit him in his waste from putting in zero effort, Boutte is the selfish one who did not want to be on the field last night.. in my opinion your starters should be Jenkins, Thomas, and Malik along with bech but even he looked to be putting in half the effort! Jenkins looked like your star wideout last night

Piss off on the Daniel’s is selfish BS

Lol. He has 1 yd passing in the 1st quarter and hardly anything at half passing. But that man is the answer…..okay. You’re so smart. Film don’t lie. Or let’s talk the lack of getting Bech involved.

5 of 7 possessions made it into the red zone. It may not have looked the way you wanted it to look, but Daniels and the offense were effective. Of the 5, the two that didn’t end in TDs featured end zone passes Boutte didn’t haul in.

The coaching staff straight up refused to get him involved. That’s on PURPOSE!

The second play of the game was a shot to him in the endzone.

We obviously tried to get Boutte involved. From our extremely limited understanding as fans on TV, it came across as him not being a leader.

Jayden came to LSU for one reason, he was promised the starting job so that he could get his NFL cred up

And our elite WR corps recognizes that, so did Myles Brennan

Like a previous poster said, I'd have to look at his effort in the other aspects of his job. Did he downfield block, did he try to get open when QB was scrambling, did he run his routes 100% when he wasn't going to be the primary receiver. I'll wait to pass judgement when I can see that. And keep it to myself.

I usually think Todd McShay gets more hate than he deserves, but what a stupid arse tweet. Boutte was the most targeted receiver, was trusted to get the conversion on 4th and short, and was scripted to get the first 2 TD attempts of the game. There was plenty of attempts to get him involved. He just dropped the ball (literally).

If isolating last night alone I could believe some of what you say. The problem is you cannot isolate to ONLY last night. He has a history and honestly he needs to change trajectory or he will be a “what could have been.” This is coming from his coaches and students who know him.

He caught a few and dropped a few. If he caught all of them , we win by 13 to 20.

26-35(74%) 209 yds 2 TD’s 0int
16 carries 114 yards for 7.1 avg.

While I agree he didn’t look good a lot of times. Just be thankful for what he did do, because the is the reason LSU wasn’t blown out. But he was far from pathetic.

quote:

LSU’s blatant lack of interest in getting him involved and Boutte’s obvious frustration

When the ball was thrown his way he didn’t complete his routes and looked he was interested. That is the definition of selfishness. The ball was out right in his chest for what should have been a TD and he just refuse to play hard and not run his complete route and just gave it. I would have thrown to someone else to after that.

Booty was target 6 times and 1 of them should have been a TD. This is not all on the QB. You sound just like Kelly with throwing players under the bus. This was bad play in all aspects of the game, Defense, Offense and Special Teams. You get a player ejected for targeting because he was frustrated and clearly launched at the QB head with the crown of his helmet. Kelly will lose this team by mid season.

He would have had a touchdown in the first quarter if Boutte hangs on the the ball in his hands.

He caught the ball fine with Max throwing last year up until his injury he was literally a machine at WR.

He was involved. No one but him dropped the first 4 balls thrown to him. No one but him was so disinterested in the game that a pass hit him without him even seeing it. His failings are on him, not on Daniel's, the OC, or the HC.

Yes, Mcshay has the inside scoop. Ok..... McElroy called out his lackluster effort on the RedZone slant. Don't need inside info aka fake news to see with your eyes what is right in front of your face
