So the receiver targeted most in the game with 4 misses, two of which were TDs should have been targeted more?

I think you took too many blows to the head in your HS football career.

Like hitting him in the hands and the stomach with TD passes

What a dumb post. If Boutte plays like an all American we win that game by double digits

He had 6 targets and dropped 3 of them and 2 were for touchdowns. Idk how more involved you need to be it’s a team fricking sport, he can go kick rocks an go work out for the draft for all I care if he really is aggravated about not getting the ball every play teams are going to double cover him so if he doesn’t like that he doesn’t need to go play in the NFL

He don’t have to be Bill Parcels to see a player not going full speed and mailing it in during the game.

McShay is so off

They threw him the ball, he dropped it.

He could have had two TD catches, and finished with 5 catches-90yds & 2 tuddies. That was left up to Boutte and it was just not his night

Everybody outside of LSU can see this. What I don't understand is why so much blind loyalty to a new player over someone who's been here and performed for you his whole career.

Daniels is new to LSU and is from SoCAL. But, I never saw him put his head down and He gave 100% effort the entire game. I applaud him for that.

Boutte, who yes is a LA native, had a chance to make a statement play on the 1st drive. He had a TD catch if once the ball was in his hands he does not let the DB rip it out. The Other TD on the skinny post, he did not even look for the ball and it would have hit him right in the numbers.

So call it lack of focus or whatever, but Daniels gave it 100% the entire game. Boutte not so much.

I just call it like I see it.

1.) That’s called a glance route not skinny post. It’s a timing route in which Daniel’s was off timing wise.

2.) WR read coverages - you run routes at 90-95% to be smooth while reading coverage and the burst on cut/breaks to 100%

3.) Kayshon won the 400 meter as a freshman in 4A. His 95% comes across as a 60%. He’s that smooth. I watched him all during high school

So you could call it like you see it if you knew what you were looking at.

Yep he was pouting big time even after dropping the first td. Seems to not care even the catch he made on last drive looked strange. Hopefully he gets it together.

McShay is consistently wrong about prospects

Before you make stupid statements like this remember Brian Kelly didn't play past high school either. He played for a football club which is basically intramurals.

Glance, Skinny post, whatever you want to call it, I really don't give a flying Frick.

Ginger McElroy who played QB for Nick Saban regardless of what you want to call the route said it was on Boutte not Daniels.

I call it how I see it regardless of the terminology of the route. And a Glance is in fact just another name for skinny post usually off some RPO action, which I am not sure there was any RPO on that play.

This is bullshite. He was targeted the most of all receivers. He dropped one touchdown at least. First game, look for improvement. All we can do is pull for him and don't get negative and shovel shite if you are a real fan. You expect the team to keep fighting and stay behind them.

Boutte dropped a TD and half-assed on another route that would have been a TD.

And dropped two more passes later in the game.

2 catches on 6 targets and he should have caught them all.

The coaching staff straight up refused to get him involved. That’s on PURPOSE!

For what reason would they want to do this? Although yes two targets in the first half was head scratching. The o line was bad, but OC never changed the play calling. Can MB schedule a zoom call with Kiffen, or at least send over his Waffle House play sheet.

True.

Todd McShay said it best via Twitter: “I’m dying to know (and will find out) the real story on what’s going on with LSU and its star WR Kayshon Boutte. LSU’s blatant lack of interest in getting him involved and Boutte’s obvious frustration was alarming!”

Neither did McShay. Your authoritarian was an equipment manager.

You don’t have to have been a college player or an equipment manager to recognize KB had issues with effort last night. A pass hit him in the chest or gut on the goal line. He was running a 70% effort route and didn’t even care to lift his arms.
