Pennix throws a dart and can chunk it but he has missed a lot of deep throws tonight

Damone why don’t you take the digital black face off for awhile and stop race baiting all the time?

Penix Jr is the best of the 3. It’s not really close.

For the dudes that say players don’t improve later in their careers in CFB compare Daniels first four years to Penix’s.

Then look at Penix’s number this year.

Penix doesn’t run.

His best single season rushing total is 119. This year at UW, it was 92 or so

Daniels is not an elite QB.

2) Michael Penix Jr (good runner and best deep ball)
Penix is pocket passer who can run. If you're talking elite dual threats;

Caleb Williams
Drake Maye
KJ Jefferson
Bo Nix
Frank Harris
Jayden Daniels
Jordan Travis

If Daniels can improve his downfield passing he can finish in the top 3 dual threats.

I wouldn't call any of the 3 elite.
Penix is definitely elite, just not a dual threat. Lead the country in passing.

I’m going with Maye as you said or Klubnik as #2.

you've lost your mind. Klubnik has done absolutely nothing.

I'd put Caleb at #1 because he's played in more big games. Maye's biggest game was Clemson and he fell off a cliff the last 4 games of the season.

Penix a cut above the JT & JD. Between those two probably JT because he’s not so tentative a passer. JD is the best runner of the three hands down. It’s his greatest strength but also something he has to work on because he opts to run too fast a lot of the time.

You can throw John Rhys Plumlee in the mix. He's returning in 2023. His stats for this season are very similar to Daniels'.

Daniels
2774 yds 16/3 TD/INT 7.5 ypa 68.5% comp
818 rushing 4.5 ypc 11 TDs

Plumlee
2586 yds 14/8 TD/INT 7.5 ypa 63% comp
862 rushing 5.5 ypc 11 TDs

Plumlee threw 25 fewer passes and ran 21 fewer times. If evened out that would push his yardage to 2773 passing and 977 rushing.

Daniels is clearly the better, more accurate passer and has fewer TOs and Plumlee is a better runner. In the bowl game the announcer said he runs a 4.28 40 but I doubt that's accurate.

This is Plumlee's 1st season as a full time starter. It's also his first season at UCF. It will be interesting to see how he does next year especially with UCF joining the Big XII.

"Klubnik has done nothing"....watch tonites game and tell me that when its finished....Klubnik is better than the 3 mentioned QB's referenced in this thread and along with Williams they are the 2 best QB's in college football next year....that's whey he's in the top 4 in the 2023 Heisman Watch list....remember this kid eat Walker Howards lunch at the Elite 11..

Let me guess...Drake Maye rushes for 698 yards. But he's a Pro-style QB.

Michael Phenix only rushes for 92 yards all season . He's Dual threat.

1) Penix
2) Travis
3) Daniels

Jayden Daniels' raw numbers in 2022 may have been impressive, but he had at least three games during the season that he effectively didn't even show up. That's why I listed him third

Penix is the best on your list and I doubt Travis has a better arm. Penix and Travis are underrated, imo.

He's had 3 weeks to work on getting a more medium to long range game going. If he can do it in the bowl game I think we're fine next year. Hopefully he isn't our run game but runs enough to keep the defense honest. I mainly don't want him to get hurt.

Penix is a pocket passer, he had two ACL injury’s and is not a runner. Jayden is really good runner and below average passer so not elite. Travis is good at running and throwing but not elite. Elite to me would be Johnny or Lamar, ability to have 1,000 rush and 3,000 pass
