I have plenty of win percentages calculated, like post season, each post season level, versus other conferences, versus teams from a particular state. If anyone is interested in any specific ones I'll post them. I don't have records vs specific opponents done.

Do you have home/away splits? I'd just be curious as to what they are in SEC play.

Home: 397-109 0.780
Away: 118-113 0.513
Neutral: 65-24 0.730
SEC: 264-161 0.617

That's the overall. Give me a little bit to work with the formulas and I should be able to get SEC Home/Road/Neutral. I've also omitted the two ties from all of my calculations. Road games are true road games not at a neutral site, except for the series we played Bama at Hoover, I counted that as a road game. Last year's regional, I counted the Oregon St games as Road, but the other ones as Neutral. Same for the UCLA regional.

agree with your message - we can beat anyone - but we can lose to anyone
we will not catch arky unless we win all 3 against them

I love LSU but this team was over-rated IMO. Unless they click in next 4 weeks they are not Omaha-level good. Hess, for the most part is not the dominant Fri night starter PM has had on his best teams. He’s not a Lange or NOLA or Gausman or Ronaldo.
The injuries have obviously hurt. I can’t understand why there is so much arm soreness.
And, it seems to me they are like football was under Les; they play up or down to the competition.
But, everything is in front of them. Win the next 3 series and they win the west but Ark will be a HUGE test.

Interesting information, ProjectP. Thanks!

I think Arkansas wins the west, if it was at home I would think differently.
Good post though.

SEC Home: 127-60 0.668
SEC Away: 100-91 0.524
SEC Neutral: 36-10 0.783

So we are 9 games over .500 on the road in the SEC, but only 6 games over .500 overall. If someone told me we are under .500 in non-conference road games, I would have said there's no way.

Yeah, I would have lost money on that, too.

That may be true but it's more on the raters than the ratees. Plus nobody saw all the arm soreness issues coming.

I think Garza is about to get hot. He is taking some aggressive swings lately. His knee must not be as much of an issue for him.

Catching the Pigs is going to be tough. They’re playing great ball right now and have Kentucky in the road which could easily be their third straight sweep. If that happens we’re 3 games back (assuming a 2-1 series win with Ole Miss). We’ve had great luck in Fayetteville but a sweep on the road by this team is a long shot.

If we get to 18 wins we should get a Regional
If we get to 19 wins we might get a Super
If we get to 20 wins we should Geaux Supe

You can’t push Hess to the bullpen until we get three good, healthy SPS. We have yet to have that all season.

I see no way that we don’t get a super if we finish with 19 wins in an SEC as strong as this one

Go for it
whenever i post this list, people assume that i want pm fired and that i want these people to replace him.
1. i am NOT saying pm should be fired.
2. i am NOT saying any other particular coach would guaranteed be better at lsu

i am responding to the silly idea that pm is "as good as it gets" etc. my question all along has been is lsu getting a commensurate roi. the answer is no. the solution is debatable.

Yeah, South Carolina was maybe the top program in the country from 2010-2012. Now they are about to miss the regionals for the third time in 5 years.

Depends on other teams. Vandy will go over 20, Arky will probably hit 20. If Georgia ends with 19-20 they likely get a National Seed over us (series win + better record). I only see 3 National Seeds to the SEC.

They have “potential” to be dominate.

Baseball is a weird sport sometimes. They could get hot and make a run.

It comes down to timely hitting and pitchers stepping up.
