skewed heavily by Burrow and Brady, who are both gone. And he let Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Helaire, etc languish in a pedestrian 2018 offense.

And this year was FAR worse than anyone here had every imagined.

Look, we all loved 2019, but we’re afraid we’re witnessing Gene Chizik 2.0.

Hand raised. I thought the Mensa Boy was going to be sensational. I glad I was wrong.

Take the 10 worst posters on the rant and make them boosters at Texas. Then ask Herman to try and make them happy. That’s what you have in Austin.

i did

Herman may not have gotten Burrow, which is the difference for 2019. i'm not sure outside of 2019 if O beats Herman, though

i imagine Sark will be another disaster. the T in UT is "toxic"

Never thought he was a "super" choice. Really unimpressed after hearing what he had to say after becoming coach!

I did. But who’s to say he wouldn’t have had great success here? Over the course of 20 years LSU has had THREE different HC’s win national championships. NONE previously had anything close to that level of success before coming to LSU.

On the flip side, two HC’s who had good success elsewhere flamed out quickly at Texas. Perhaps one program is more conducive to success than the other?

coach kissie face would have been a disaster here at LSU. LSU players would not respond well to that. Plus if you can't recruit great classes to Texas with all the talent that is in that state then you aren't going to recruit great classes to LSU. Recruiting is the most important part of a head coaches job, or any coaches job. Just look at BaMA, ohio St, and Clemson for proof of that.

I didn't get my hopes up for Herman because I never thought he'd take the job. I felt like we were being played the whole time. If I could see that, why couldn't our AD see it?

all true..... but you conveniently omitted a few things.
When you talk about Saban at LSU do you talk about him losing to UAB? Or him at Bama losing to ULM?

Lol gtfo out of my face, you want to list something? Then do it bitch

Herman absolutely would have gotten Burrow at LSU if he wanted him. He and Burrow were very close.

But no, I never wanted Herman as our coach. I was never impressed by his Houston teams and their lack of consistency. I didn't want Jimbo either, but he's doing a little better at A&M than I thought he would.

He was exactly what I thought LSU needed, young offensive mind.

I did. In fairness though, Herman did more with less at Houston. However, we’ve seen this a lot: Charlie Strong, Kevin Sumlin—guys who excel at group of 5 schools perform average in Power 5. Well, I guess Louisville is P5 now but you get my point.

Guilty... I still think he would have been a good fit.

I bet he could have talked Burrow in to transferring to LSU too.

I bet he regrets his decision now.
