I was really excited when I got the alert saying Herman to LSU on my phone whilst sitting at the LSU section at Kyle Field in 2016.
And who's to say Herman wouldn't have had a lot of success at LSU?

I thought he would be a great hire here. I wanted a guy that update our offense to use all of our athletes, not just the tailback.

I will admit, there was a time when I was strongly in favor of LSU hiring Herman and said so on this board on numerous occasions.

Setting aside buyouts, Herman leaves the Texas program with a full roster, having talent comparable to LSU. He leaves the program, which had problems when he got there, in better shape than Orgeron has LSU at the moment.
