I’d have to say yes but not as a QB.

I also think he is handling his situation very poorly and has the potential to be a cancer in the locker room.

His father is the one handling the situation poorly. Go watch his interview after the national title game. Hurts, not his father, handled that as well as he possibly could have.

smh. I'll just keep repeating Hurts' stats to those who say he's terrible.

Passing:

394-637
61.9%
4861 yards
7.6 ypa
40 TD
10 INT
143.5 rating

Rushing stats:

345 carries
1809 yards
5.2 avg
21 TD

If that's pitiful, I sure hope we get pitiful QB play this year.

He isn't coming here but if he leaves Alabama that's a plus for us. He is a great competitor even if he lacks elite passing skills.

Hurts has played 12 games against teams that finished the season in the Coaches' top 25. His numbers aren't awesome.

2016 (7 games; augmented by blowouts of USCw and UT):
Passing: 91/158, 57.6%, 1,009 yds, 7 TD/5 INT
Rushing: 90 att, 429 yds, 4.8 ypc, 8 TD

2017 (5 games:)
Passing: 52/96, 54.2%, 678 yds, 5 TD/0 INT
Rushing: 68 att, 253 yds, 3.7 ypc, 2 TD

Career:
Passing: 143/254, 56.3%, 1,687 yds, 12 TD/5 INT
Rushing: 158 att, 682 yds, 4.3 ypc, 10 TD

Come to LSU and beat his old coach into retirement. That would be awesome.

LSU fans have seen so much bad QB play we can't even identify who is a good QB anymore.

Yes, and if you say no then you’re stupid.
He’s the reason they won both of thier last games against us.

He’s like 22-1 as a starter.

None of this matters btw, no way they let him go to an SEC school. He should go to UCLA

Yeah. We are short on running backs this year. We could use another one.
