Question about the court order Chambliss is playing under

Does it enjoin the NCAA/SEC from penalizing Ole Miss for playing him?
If not, why isn’t Sankey taking action against Ole Miss?
If it does, why is he so willing to disregard a similar order from the 19th JDC?
These are questions he should be made to answer. I personally think he’s looking the other way as a sop to Ole Miss for losing Kiffin.

It's an injunction against the NCAA. SEC didn't care enough about those rules to make a fuss. If they did, they'd have been enjoined.

This whole thing is about punishing Kiffin for leaving Ole Miss before the playoffs. The SEC couldn't give two squats about who's playing who.

According to the NCAA in the Kentucky case, no one who attends a rookie minicamp is eligible. This will mean that a number of players (like the Texas center) will now have their careers ended (I assume those schools will refuse to keep them on the roster).
This will mean that the only ineligible player playing by virtue of a TRO is Ole Miss’s QB, Trinidad Chambliss. Clearly Ole Miss has lost institutional control and the rest of the conference should seriously consider expulsion.

Texas also made the mistake of rostering the OL. Meaning the SEC should be suspending Sark and fining Texas millions. Pretty sure OU and SC have players with similar situations. SEC should get some good money from these fines.

The "NFL players" don't make a difference to LSU's ability to win games or their final record. They figured it would be an easy way to assert their power and that LSU would step down right away. They miscalculated this new administration's resolve and it turned into a dick measuring contest.

I never understood this. Kiffin didn't leave on his own - he was forced to leave. Why should they want to punish him for not being allowed to coach through the playoffs??
I know their panties were in a wad about him taking the LSU job, but he didn't choose to leave before the playoffs.

You can guarantee with certainty. That had Chambliss followed Lane to LSU. The NCAA and the SEC would on them like white on rice. He would not be playing football this year. LSU would be fighting even worse legal battles than we are right now.

All this makes me wonder what kind of advice, if any, was given to OM by the SEC offices during LSU's search.
