So why did that black guy stand there on camera repeating, unprompted, over and over - "It was all the green charger's fault". He saw the whole thing. Is he in error?
I believe he was in error. Eyewitnesses often compress what they see or just flat out get it wrong. I'm not going to be too hard on him though--it's just how things happen and I've been mad at people who do what Lacy did too.

Go watch the video of his interview. It's in one of the threads here.
He says he slowed down, but "never skidded or nothing" pulled to the side and then into the parking lot.
I just listened to it again. He never says that he pulled to the side of the road.
He says:
“I ain’t skid mark or nothing. I wasn’t even going fast. That lady in the back of me, she ain’t saw what happening and that’s how she caused that wreck. She would run into the back of me and she pulled on the other side.”
Nothing about him pulling off the road.
ETA: Unless there’s another video, which is why I asked.

She was following too closely and at a rate of speed higher than the trucks.
The DA report had her traveling 49.6 mph and following 0.5s behind the Gold Truck.
This is what bothers me about all of this. It appears that LSP is not looking into this woman at all and that is baffling. I am not here to debate the guilt level of Lacy or the Funyun girl. But just common sense looking at all at the least she holds some responsibility in the wreck. As far as Lacy's responsibility it is either partial or none.

Not even possible for her to have seen that in reality, by the time she would have line of sight to Lacy's car he was in the correct lane.
Was Lacy driving like an arse?
Yes.
Does that piss me off when I see it?
Yes.
Does what he did that far in advance of this particular wreck make him at fault?
No.

The LSP charge KL with vehicular homicide. They didn't convict him. That's why you go to court.
This.
All the purple and gold goggle wearers can’t grasp this.

Why did she swerve left into oncoming traffic and not to the right side of the street?

I appreciate all the effort you went through to put this together.
I hadn't realized the diagram in the police report was that far off from what happened. If the police were operating off of the incorrect eye witness accounts and an inaccurate graph representation of the where the vehicles were located at the time of the crash, then it's perfectly understandable why they went as hard after Lacy as they did.
Regardless of where any of us land on the blame (most of us have already made up our minds and aren't going to be swayed), there are a lot of us that just want questions answered as to why certain things went down the way they did with the police investigation and subsequent arrest. The more information that comes out, the better picture we will all have of what really transpired and hopefully get answers. Based on the data in the OP, one possible reason is inaccurate data to base their decision on.

You so full of shite. Kyren was 90-100 YRDS behind the crash.

Not reading that.
My eyes tell me it was Lacy's fault

which made the gold driver panic
I don't think gold truck panicked. He was driving defensively and slowed down and later pulled into a parking lot.
I wish someone behind him had a dashcam to see exactly what his actions were.
I definitely think Funyuns panicked.

Lacy's death is 100% on him.
Only because he pulled the trigger is he responsible.
He was lambasted all over the place and that contributed to his demise. The media and social media have some fault.
Even TD was dissing him in favor of the marine vet By the way, the marine vet originally said he was fine. Then complained he had back pain. At hospital it was determined he had severe lacerations to his liver. It was reported that he was given "gallons" of blood but his heart stopped.

why did the funyon women have to avoid the gold truck if he pulled off the side of the road? she could have stayed in her lane and not hit anyone.
Or, why didn't the women swerve behind the MUCH SLOWER moving Gold truck - if Lacy was coming right at her - and get a "fender bender" instead of swerving into faster cars coming right at her?

I don’t understand how a mf turns into oncoming traffic instead of hitting the shoulder to the right. Makes zero sense. You can’t blame that on anyone else if you’re that dumb.

The gold truck was occupying the right side of the road and it has been established she was either following too close/distracted and would have slammed into the back of him he she went right. That would have obviously been a better option than swerving into oncoming traffic though. She is probably just a flat out bad driver. There are a lot of those on the road unfortunately.

The only reason anyone swerved at all was because of Lacy.

This is true.
But that exact logic is why Kyren has some fault in the man being killed in that wreck. In that scenario Funyun lady ultimately “pulled the trigger”, but Kyren’s wreckless decision to pass 4 cars in a no pass zone contributed to that fatal crash.
