Bill Arnsparger, tied with Saban for 2nd all time in win% at LSU wore the purples at home. Your curse isn’t cursing.

I don't care if the fans wear brown and pink.

Our FOOTBALL TEAM should only wear G/W/G unless we play a road game where the opponent wears white against us at their home field.

There are purple numbers,.names, and trim in our traditional uniform.

If you seriously think a jersey color affects a win or a loss in a college football game, you have common sense issues.

Next foolish thing that you're going to say is that talking about a no-hitter in baseball doesn't jinx it. Are you trying to take the fun out of sports?

Bill Arnsparger left LSU to become the AD at Florida, where he would then hire Steve Spurrier as the Head Coach.

This all happened during the Purple Era.

My curse is, in fact, cursing.

And we went 10-1-1 that year with an SEC title wearing purple. Curse off

Wrong. We went 10-1-1 with no title because we finished 2nd in the SEC behind Auburn.

We won a share of the 1987 SEC Title with Auburn in 1988 while having an 8-4 record.

Curse on.

It would be fine with me if we never wore anything other than Gold/White/Gold.. That is what are we supposed to look like.

Finishing 1st or 2nd in the SEC for 3 straight years is a curse? Bring on the curse then.

How did those white jerseys work out last night? Don’t ever say it’s the purple jerseys again.

It was the purple jerseys. We got a couple of key injuries in the Tech game-- the one who got hurt in the 4th quarter (Wright) will likely be out the whole season. And the spell continued -- two more injuries last night, including Trey'dez.

They were wearing white last night. My God some of you need to stop. Baseball wears purple and gold jerseys win with them all the time. Nobody remembers the Chinese Bandits anymore. Let it go. It’s not the jersey color. It’s shitty teams with shitty coaches in the 80’s

There's bad juju associated with the gold/purple/gold football uniform, going back to at least 1965, and probably earlier than that. It was reinforced during the 1980's and 1990's for 12 years per NCAA mandate for home uniforms. Curley Hallman went 9-16 in the purples.
