Proof that the purple jerseys are cursed and should never be worn again

In 1983 the NCAA passed a rule that required home teams to wear their dark jerseys. LSU was one of the few teams that wore their white jerseys at home (began in 1958, the first NC). This rule lasted until 1995 when Gerry Dinardo advocated to get the rule changed as his first action as LSU head coach.
In the years from 1983 to 1995, LSU had 7 losing seasons wearing the purple jerseys.
From 1958 to 1983, while wearing the white, they had 3 losing seasons.
Since 1995 when they were allowed to wear the whites again: 3 losing seasons.
LSU has less losing seasons in 55 years of wearing the white jerseys at home than they have in the 12 years of having to wear the purple jerseys at home.

Further strengthens my point. The purple jerseys cursed the program.
White jerseys return and we become the only school to win a NC with 3 consecutive coaches.

To me, I think we ought to wear the purple jerseys more often than just against shitty teams. Wear the white-purple-white combo in 1 or 2 SEC games every year to help break the mystique.

If you seriously think a jersey color affects a win or a loss in a college football game, you have common sense issues.

Maybe…look at all the games on a case by case basis and search for evidence that something ridiculous happened to cause all the losses. I don’t remember a “raining frogs” game. This is stupid.

It’s not the jersey. The GWG gets old. It’s a stupid tradition wearing it all of the time.
