He should have sat out of the meaningless game at the beginning of the year when it was obvious to everyone that he was hurt instead of trying to hide it

I think anyone with eyes could see this coming. It probably would have happened sooner if BK wasn't here. For some reason, he had to stick with Nuss until the very end. Whether that be promises of some sort or BK being hard headed, I guess we'll never know for sure.

MVB being a little more mobile in the pocket is who we should've been playing long ago. I'm not saying he was the fix to everything or that he's a better QB, but I do believe he gives this team, with this offensive line, a better chance to win.

He will probably be drafted in a late round and go on to the nfl to ride a bench for millions. Haven't cared for him since he quit on the team before the 2022 Texas Bowl back when we all thought he'd transfer because Walker Howard was the next coming.

It’s called Van Burens parents are ok with him burning a redshirt. That’s what they were waiting on.

I think the torso/ oblique injury has been hampering him all year.
When Drew Brees had it it lasted all year.
I give him credit for trying to play through it.

The final memory of Nuss in an LSU uniform is going to be that sack he ran backwards and spun into. Amazing

Why are you so mad at me? Do you think this has played out correctly and that he wouldnt have been better served to sitout the year from jump?

He stunk last yr too….i don’t get where all of this overblown expectation came from, but it’s absurd. He was a cigar store Indian in the pocket last yr, same this yr. If he was hurt he should have made the correct decision for everyone to sit. Beat Clemson, sit the bench til South Carolina if necessary.

I don’t understand how anyone felt it was in his best interest to remain out there. Do I feel bad for the kid, somewhat, but he’s made a frick ton this yr and won’t even sniff a playoff.

So Nuss' last snap as a Tiger will be running backwards and getting sacked?

This is statistically false. He had like the highest completion % of QBs under pressure to go with 4K yds.

It seriously feels like there is a curse on 7 and 18. The greatest players we have had over the last several years have not worn these numbers. Great players who wore other numbers and then changed to one of these have almost always had worse seasons upon changing.

Well #18 was originally rewarded by the former #18s who wore it. At least it used to be before BK took over that. #7 was cursed when O gave it to Jonathan Giles. Idk what he was thinking when that happened. Guess it still has some juju on it. A jersey number has zero to do with it especially when you wear the C on your chest. Whether Nuss wore 13 or 18, he was still voted a captain by his team.

This season just hasn't panned out the way Nuss or any one of us wanted it to go. There isn't one thing to point to as the cause, but it's clear that whatever it is hasn't set well with him and has become a mental thing. He wanted to make it work and play through it, but it has just been too much to overcome. Whether he plays another snap at LSU or not, I do wish him well and hope that whatever this is he's experiencing or having issues with can get better.

Makes you wonder how injured he was all year and if should have started these games over your backup.

If MVB balls out this morning, that is gonna make the firing of BK look so much better to me.

Regardless, itll be one of the worst defenses lsu has faced all year, so he should ball out some

I think it also affected his decision-making in both the passing game and running with the ball. Hell, as a weekend warrior who hasn’t tweaked something and said “hell, l’m ok” and kept playing, only to cause more damage. He should have sat out earlier games to heal, or try to redshirt. He’s definitely damaged his prospects to get drafted.
