Would they have ever allowed what's going on in the state of LSU athletics?

They chose to side with "Perception" and doing the right thing, which made everyone on the outside respect LSU. However when you're more worried about "Perception" rather than YOUR FANS spending money to watch a noncompetitive Football and Basketball team, that's what ultimately gets you sent out the door.

I have a ton of respect now for the current administration and how they continue to put THE FANS first and do whatever possible to win at all cost, rather than to continue to cater to the NCAA and the people outside of this university.

HATS OFF TO ALL INVOLVED!

Fat Scott is likely laying in his closet crying and shaking over what is happening.

If we had either fat man or dei man, Lane isn’t here and neither is Wade.

What a reach. Just move on... they are gone on to do other things in their professional careers.

Fat Scott should have been fired for cause as soon as he put family at the ncaa ahead of LSU interest.

He also had to work hard to get donations because his idea of what would make us successful was dumb. Verge has donations sky rocketing.

Fat Scott also had our NIL years behind because as usual he put the ncaa over LSU. His idea for nil was a disaster.

He may have been “noble” by acting like it was 97 and they were student athletes but they don’t give extra Ws for nobility.

The thing is there are real world consequences for lsu sports sucking.

Baton Rouge has restaurants hotels etc etc that depend on the football team bringing in fans.

This is true and both are disgraced losers that had to be fired for wrecking LSU.

Joe should have never been hired after the Duke lax mess, have no clue why we would have ever wanted to salvage that. Fat Scott I get us going after as the signs of him being a bad AD weren’t as strong, he was a local guy, worked here under Saban. The Jimbo hire could be written off as Aggy boosters demanding it. Turns out fat Scott did as much if not more damage to our major sports than Joe did.

Scott almost had all 3 major sports at LSU in the ditch, thankfully the board told him no on hiring an ancient coach and he gave up and listened to others and hired JJ. Scott did try his hardest to wreck baseball by being a loser about revenue share which could have made JJ walk.

Brian Kelly would be the HC and MVB would be the QB is Woodward and Tate were still here. LSU would go 7-5 again.

Agreed, he pretended that the ncaa was like it was in the 80s early 90s when they smacked brown around and intern hammered basketball. The rules and game had changed and he wanted to hang onto that likely due to not wanting to harm family. A true honorable man would have resigned instead of hurting his employer. Scott tried to apply NIL to the letter of the intent while ole miss and others were blowing by us. He also had a weird fetish for women’s sports that aren’t money makers.

LSU football and to a smaller degree basketball sucking hurts the athletic department, hurts the school at large and as you said eventually hurts BR as well.

Fat Scott chose to play in an old world/not understand the rules. Thankfully JBE, Dei Tate and fat Scott can’t harm us anymore.

He was the Dabo of ADs.

I appreciate the spirit of the original post; however, I don't think winning at all costs is the best practice.

Do we really want LSU to cheat like Michigan in order to win a natty?

Also, our current AD failed miserably regarding the Drake Davis domestic violence issue. Do we really want to be another Baylor University?

Are you a clown show running a circus? They were both disgraces. Turning Tiger Stadium lights on to honor George Floyd? Pushin the fake BLM narrative and rolling out signs all over campus.

Good riddance to the two leftist.

Not sure why these 2 are lumped together. Tate understood how important athletics was for the entire university and its overall brand and was nothing but very supportive of LSU athletics.

I think a lot of the Woodward criticism is ridiculous as well, but at least there are tangible mistakes to point to. Not sure there are for Tate. Besides his being black, of course.

We aren’t being like Michigan, they actually broke rules. We were following what the rules currently state even if they are dumb rules
