Honestly I don’t disagree with this take

I think Yamin will catch some games too, rocky. Id be fine with Arrambide being full time DH honestly

It’s not realistic to expect all four of those guys to pitch six innings each every week. I think we can expect to get 20 out of those guys - not “at least” but on average. If they all pitch well one week you’d get about 24. If we average 24 with those guys then we are going to have a very good staff.

Maybe, but I think any of Evans, Schmidt, and Moore would be disappointed if they didn't average at least 6 innings/ start... small feat or not.

Hood will be new to starter's role, if he gets it, and might adapt to it well or could have some trouble adjusting.

I could see these 4 averaging something like:

Evans: 6 1/3 ip/ game
Schmidt: 6 2/3 ip/ game
Moore: 5 2/3 ip/ game
Hood 5 1/3 ip/ game

Each week, we'll play 36 innings. At minimum, 22+ should be covered by Evans, Schmidt, Moore, and Hood. From there, assuming we retain a few important arms, I could go for: 8 from Sheerin/ Garcia/ Valesquez/ Guidry 6 from Rickin/ Kaden Smith/ Zion/ Plog

Hopefully we get Sheerin and Garcia back.

The starters will probably be:

Fri- C. Evans
Sat- Schmidt
Sun- Moore
Midweek- Hood (Rickin, Theo, and Valesquez may get a look)

We'll need an improvement from most of these guys, but there will be lots of returning talent and SEC experience, which should play well.

I feel good about it, but Yeskie will have to help these guys develop.

That'll hurt... maybe Jay can surprise us and keep one. The pending lockout could help.

If we lose them, we'll definitely need 2-3 high end relievers from the portal.

We'll also have to rely heavy on Valesquez, Rickin, Smith, Guidry, and Theo. Williams and Plog will also have to come through.

Parker loew, Jordan Martinez , Coleton Brady, Nate Davis, and Braxton Beaty all posted their lockers on their IG stories so I’m assuming those 5 will make it to campus

ETA: I knew Davis and Beaty were already making it to campus

So Patrick goes from being a starter to not even a reserve?

Serna is the best hitter on the team. He will hit 2nd or 3rd

I tend to agree but Bide's bat is up there too. Bide was an excellent hitter for us and has immense power. Once he was placed back into the lineup after a small hiccup he took off.

Guidry is old and plans to sign if offered the opportunity.

I sure hope our catcher take a big jump defensively over the summer.
While our pitchers were pretty wild, it didn't help all the passed balls and many wild pitches that should have at least been blocked.

You dont waste an arm like Hood on a midweek start, he's not a freshman looking to develop, he is ready to pitch on weekends, if he's not a starter, he'll be a weekend long reliever.

Ricken and a freshman seems most likely to start mid-week. Or Aase on how he comes back from TJ.

Do you post predictions anymore after you Eyanson takes? If so, let’s see yours

My Eyanson take was he looked average his first 2 starts which he did. I never said he couldn't pitch or was a bad pitcher. You are trying to put words in my mouth but nice try though.

I still think Evans should be the closer. He didn't impress me as a starter but he was very impressive as a reliever.
