Wholeheartedly believe dj Pickett and Ty benefield will be first team all SEC by the end of the season.

Ole Miss is also ridiculously high lol

Ole Miss 3rd is pretty wild to me.

LSU will finish 3rd or 4th I think. A&M not sure as the schedule is a lot tougher this year.

Bama 6th is wild. When's the last time they haven't been projected in the Top 2 or 3?

11 South Carolina
12 Auburn
13 Vanderbilt
14 Kentucky
15 Mississippi State
16 Arkansas

If you're 7th place in the SEC, you're probably 10-2 or 9-3 and one of the best teams in the country like top 20, crazy. 5th in the SEC like LSU is projected definitely entails 10-2 record.

They haven’t been keeping up if they have Ty Benefield second team.

I get it, they have Trinidad and Kewan

Trinidad and Kewan are who they are because of Kiffin’s offense. LSU fans of all fans should know how badly a bad OC can screw over good QB’s and RB’s. I’ll call my shot now, Trinidad will be the biggest letdown in the county at any position this year, guy is going to struggle mightily with younger, drunker Ed Orgeron at the helm in Oxford

They have a middle of the road quarterback. You can't compete in the SEC without a quarterback who can change games.

Arch cannot. I don't care that he has Cam Coleman. We saw what he did last year with no quarterback.

They lose to:

Ohio State
Tennessee
OU
LSU

They'll lose one of Ole Miss, UF, Missouri, or A&M.

They have the best QB and RB in the SEC. Return a lot of contributors and upgraded several positions via the portal. I get the hype.

They also lost the brains behind the offense, have a new head coach, and have a much tougher schedule.

What all SEC quarterbacks are better than Arch? And if you can’t compete in the SEC with him, how did they compete last year?

In no order:

1. Trinidad
2. Leavitt
3. Matear

all for sure better. I'd also take Simmons, and one of Byrum Brown/Keeon Russel. Expect multiple others to surpass him this season. Taylor has a shot. Stockton has a shot. Minchey has a shot, though will be limited if Sloan really is calling plays.

Not a huge believer in Sellers or Reed.

They finished tied for 5th in the conference and were dangerously close to finishing 10th. They started with Ohio State, which they lost, then went San Jose State, UTEP, Sam Houston.

They then lost to UF, played the best game of their season against OU, beat UK and MSU in OT, beat Vandy by 3, and lost to UGA. They very easily could have had 6 or 7 losses last year. They had break after break after break. They should have lost to UK and MSU.

This year, they don't get a month in between competitive games where they get to regroup. I mean, they struggled with 2 win UTEP last year. Sark is an extremely overrated "offensive mind" and has all sorts of issues inside of his program.

I truly believe that on the morning of October 11, 2026, they will have a losing record.

The media just automatically assumes Chambliss will have the same season without Lane and Charlie there .

Is there a particular reason that you think all of those guys are better? Also, does that mean that you believe that Ole Miss, LSU, and Oklahoma are the only teams that can be competitive in the SEC?

I'd also take Simmons

To each their own I guess.

Yeah but they didn’t. They also very easily could have made the playoff. I just don’t see how going 6-2 in conference isn’t competitive.

No, I just don’t quite get why people dislike him so much but like other QB’s. People can have whatever opinion they want, I just haven’t found anyone to totally make sense of it all.

because he plays at Texas and LSU fans hate all things Manning. Simple as that

He's a great kid and you can do much worse as a leader and face of your team

6 voters that don’t realize ole Miss hasn’t won the SEC since before the US entered Vietnam.

Nobody ever offered Golding anything besides a DC job, and he is considered SEC middling at that.

I guess Lacy, Chambliss, and Echols are going to block and tackle everyone and have a ton of receptions too.

They also have a tougher SEC road than they did last year

Serious question: why???

I know they have talent but how is anyone sold on Golding

Am I crazy for thinking Ole Miss falls off and finishes AT BEST 8-4?
