Possible #1 vs #3 matchup instead of #1 vs #2?

With the main rankings falling on the committee and not the pollsters, do you think we might see a 1 vs 3 matchup instead of 1 vs 2? I feel like LSU will be #1, but I could see OSU being placed ahead of bama. I know this doesn’t change the importance/magnitude of the game, but I’m interested in seeing how things play out between the current 1 vs 2 talk and what we end up with on Nov. 5.

I don't think so. Everyone loves a #1 vs. #2 regular season match-up, and there is no compelling reason to drop either LSU or Bama below OSU next week, because the pollsters can just wait and see what happens on 11/9 and rank the teams accordingly after that.

One team will lost by default and Ohio St can slide into there after November 9th.
No they are not going to simply slide down a #1 vs #2 ever.

Clemson plays the teeth of their schedule however in Wofford, but it won't be enough to displace tOSU much less Bama before 11/9.

More ammo for Saban to inspire his team. The Saban media seems to be in lock step at what is needed to get back to number 1. Perfect for him. Probably planned that way. Have LSU number one and get pissed for being slighted. .

I don't think they will, but it wouldn't shock me if they put Ohio State at #1, LSU at #2.
My guess is #1 LSU, #2 Ohio State, #3 Alabana.

OSU may be #1. While we have played tougher games, they have looked really really good this year.

A lot of people.. because where Bama is ranked is going to tell us a lot about how the CFP committee sees Bama’s resume. I see Bama being ranked 3 or 4 next Tuesday night when those first rankings are released.

Likely not. The loser will not be a #2 team the next week. TV wants 1vs2 and will be fleeting, so they will keep it that way.
