re: Update on LSU's OL coach...

No he’s not. Frank has never been on the staff when LSU has won a national championship. There’s too much mythologizing around some of these coaches.

This joke is tired and needs to be forgotten forever

It’s not what’s linked there. But Ruffino said he’s reading unconfirmed reports Lane has told assistants if they aren’t on the plane with him tomorrow then they won’t have a place on his staff in Baton Rouge

How very Saban-like of him.

When LSU hired Nick away from Sparty, he sent a plane back to East Lansing but none of the staff members got on the plane to come to Baton Rouge.
No it wasn’t. He was directly asked if he would make a decision by today.. he said “I think I have to”. Nobody said anything about an announcement. People just assumed/interpreted incorrectly.

That was regarding making a decision. He never said he was going to announce anything.

His wife & house are still in Baton Rouge..

Yeah, because they want this distraction hanging over game week prep… if he was for sure staying it would be announced right now.

He’ll be praised forever in Oxford when it’s announced he’s staying live on College Gameday next Saturday.
Nobody in Oxford or at Ole Miss has any leverage. They have no option but to give into his $$/NIL demands and his agent would love an announcement about his client on national television. This is all a set up
Disagree. They are just setting up a huge announcement for College Gameday next Saturday, the day after the Egg Bowl.
Egg Bowl is Friday.

They’re setting up a heroic like announcement that he’s staying while Gameday is on next Saturday morning.
He won’t want to. Ole Miss will force him to.
No, the P4 OOC requirement still stands

The playoff committee confirmed, two days ago, that there will be additional schedule strength metrics added to the committee’s evaluations. It’s no coincidence that this 9 game schedule gets announced just 48 hours after that announcement.

With the playoff likely expanding to 16 teams, 9-3 SEC teams will 100% be in most years, and will be given benefit of doubt over a 10-2 team that has only one top 25 win, like SMU last year
Unfortunately I think Arkansas will get Texas, A&M, and Mizzou.

You’re right about the Television people & SEC not wanting to lose the Bama/LSU game annually.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter though. Whatever teams LSU doesn’t play annually, they will play twice in four years. The rotation isn’t going to be like it was 2012-2023, which was stupid.

Wrong. Sankey & the majority of SEC programs have been wanting to go to 9 games for years.

If anything, the conference has now turned the tables on the BIG10.. they’ll have nothing to bitch about now & their scheduling looks much weaker now.

You can say goodbye to big non conference games now

Wrong. SEC is still requiring scheduling a P4 non-conference game annually
Each team will play 3 permanent opponents. Prediction for LSU's??

Ole Miss
Mississippi St
A&M
Solid list. No arguments from me
