Hey baw, to me it's fairly simple...
NCAA had their chance for YEARS. NCAA instead fought in court.
I understand. players are in the right.

Sure, why not?
They are all professional athletes now.
Minor league football.

Playing them just mot worth the risk of potential forfeits and suspensions. Could derail a successful season.

NO. IMO that move will officially be - the death of collegiate football.
So how long before we see collegiate football players holding out for more NIL money? And when does LSU sell the university to pay for high dollar football recruits?
What a mess.

This fan base is softer than I thought it was. A little media pressure and half of yall are willing to roll over, belly exposed

Perfectly fine with it as long as it’s within the rules.
Why is it even a question?

If the court system said it’s OK. Then yes.

If this poll was made across all college football fans, it would be 95% No to 5% Yes. Those would be the results here too if it was another team leading the charge on this and not LSU.
This is not some 50/50 issue. It’s an odd fight to fight at this time of the year and there’s no way it’s not a distraction to the players and coaches.

I have no say in it so it doesn't matter, but I see bringing in former NFL players in put college football in the semi-pro position.
It's just another step past the NIL.

Eligibility is one thing but there should 100% be an age limit. 23 years old max then move on with life. If you turn 24 in December ? No playoffs for you. Needs to be a hard line. It’s America and you should be able to earn what you can wherever but there are age limits for various things in various fields. It’s the way life is. Can be a teenager forever. And winning should NOT be at any cost. That’s immature
The end result may be that if you’re a student you can play because this is America Just make rules and be done with it

I think the question is too vague. The majority of people, myself included, don’t believe players with “NFL experience” - as in played for the Cowboys for a couple of years - should be allowed to come back.
In the current situation, we’re talking about a small group of guys that were forced to go pro last year and don’t have to based on the new rule and never played a game in the NFL. I think most people Are okay with this small group but not a blanket-wide “former nfl players” being able to
“NFL experience” is vague/misleading IMO

Definitely not worth all the negative publicity right now. But I also think it’s very bad for college football. It’s already sliding down a very slippery slope with the semi-pro, non student athletes but this just ratchets it up several notches. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Players with remaining eligibility testing the waters should not disqualify them from returning to college IMO. I have always felt that. Just think of the poor guys we've had who declared early due to their circumstances and went undrafted or got cut.
Though ones who have been officially rostered for a single NFL regular season game should be disqualified 100%, you have to draw a hard line somewhere.
It is a Pandora's box currently and I'd rather LSU not gamble with it, or act before there is a stable framework that is consistent across all states and conferences to govern and facilitate the moves.
No for me at the moment, hopefully this is worked out before the 27 season.

I don’t see a problem with a first year player who gets cut/waived returning to college for a final year of eligibility. Should they really be considered a pro when they don’t actually make a team? Maybe there needs to be a revision as to what constitutes a pro player.

That's my take also, if its ruled to be legal.

I would of added "...if not against the rules". This would imply others can/will do it as well.
Which means we should do what we must to remain competitive within the rules. Would change the vote pattern I think.
