The roster will consist of 1 junior and 3 freshman (Parrish redshirted), which is an odd mix to begin with.

If Parrish is passed up as the back-up, I would expect him to transfer. He was signed prior to Brady being hired and the offensive transition. Not sure he fits and his arm is not very strong, or at least it appears to not be.

If it's not Parrish, then I would expect the back-up to get playing time and not redshirt, to create space behind the other true freshman.

TJ could turn out to be the best of them all.

One thing is obvious, the LSU coaches are way higher on him than the recruiting services (and the fans) are.

Same could be said for Max. They took early commitments from both and never wavered.

I've heard good things about Parrish learning the playbook, not sure about his arm. If he is passed by either freshman in the spring, I'm sure he'll transfer.

Based on early information Johnson is going to be pretty good and may well be number two when the season starts.

TJ was hurt by not having a great HS system, limited talent around him and less than outstanding QB development.

He needs to trim down, currently 250 and spend some time with SE and Linehan to refine his skills. He has a cannon, but I think he will need time to work on footwork, accuracy and reading defenses.

Parrish seems to have that "it" factor if Brennan still isn't ready.

Johnson needs time & Finley is 100% a project.

Because the word that's trickled out so far is that Parrish isn't an SEC-caliber QB.
I was told by Buckeye Jeaux that Parrish was the best QB coming out of Alabama last year and an objectively better signing than Tua's little brother.

Tua's little brother has already taken snaps in the Bama backfield. Has Peter?

I'll be curious to see how Parrish does in the spring. From what I've read he seems like a good kid that will put in the work to get better. His HS team just wasn't very pass friendly so it was mostly camp evals that piqued the coaches' interest in him.

we can't discuss who'll play QB next year?

Ultimately, the guy you responded to is correct. Mostly because we have so many trolls here now and Many people can't ever seem to express opinions that don't end up sounding like "My guy is great and your guy is the worst I've ever seen".

Uhm...how are we supposed to know? Can we at least wait until spring practice to see what we are talking about?

And why Johnson and not Parrish or Finely. Am I missing something here? Hmm...

Not sure where you are getting this info from but inside sources says Parrish will push Brennan extremely hard for starting role. There will be packages just for him in this years offense.

Actually, I don't know what to think about that cause I've heard from some LSU insiders that say Parrish is better than expected and I have heard from other LSU insiders that say he isn't SEC material. Hence, I resolved myself not to judge until I see with my own two damn eyes and for myself.

Parrish could win the starting job. Just a thought.

He could also switch positions cause he is an outstanding athlete that could play either wide receiver or defensive back.
