re: I wonder how many teams are trying to copy LSU’s offense from 2019

UGA is definitely trying to copy LSU's new offense but they don't have the QB or the same level of skill position players necessary to run it.

No, no one can do the same thing because there is only one Joe Burrow and he is the greatest college football QB of all time. As only one person can be Joe Burrow and that is Joe Burrow. Just be happy we had him for as long as we had him.
All Myles can do is be the best Myles Brennan he can be and if that turns out to be very solid, then that will be all we can ask.

2018 was the year that Louisiana had its worse level of recruiting prospects in several decades. After 2018 that's why Ed O made his decision to go national with recruiting and thankfully it has been a humongous success.

I agree and I think that is why Aranda suddenly started looking for a new job. As he could see Ed O's mounting frustration with his over complicated read and react 3 - 4 defense and the piss poor pass rush it generated season after season.
As for three-quarters of the season last year, face it, Dave Aranda's defense shite the bed. Now a lot of that had to do with injuries as well. But nonetheless, LSU played way below their talent level.
Anyway, Dave Aranda and the defense finally got their act together for the final four games of the season and when they did, LSU just blew by their opponents all the way to the National Championship.
Imagine if the whole season would have been like the final four games of 2019. Hopefully with Bo Pelini it can happen in 2020.

I agree with him with the exception of only Joe Burrow.

I just did. Linehan makes $800,000/year. Which is exactly the same amount of compensation Sullivan was paid.
Go google it yourself if you don't believe me.

He is Brady's replacement. As like Brady, he is the passing game coordinator and coaches wide receivers. Moreover, Linehan makes the same money that Jerry Sullivan made when he was the passing game coordinator at LSU.

I'm betting that if Callaway continues to do a good job that Ensminger will groom him to be his replacement at OC when he retires in a few years.

I don't remember too many people preseason nationally believing in Joe Burrow either last season.

Coach O damn near said it today. I believe he most certainly will I don’t think Hines can play the center position effectively at 350.
Perry will be a backup tackle based off depth. We are only 2 deep at both tackles. He’s the biggest guy we’ve got to play the position besides walk ons
It's kind of hard to get a good fix on Ed O. As earlier on the same show but different day, he bragged on Chasen Hines. Said he was bigger and stronger and faster than Lloyd Cushenberry and would be a very good center.
We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I’m ready to see Cameron Wire in action. I think he’s a sleeper right now that will be great in a season or two. Just a hunch.
The people that saw him play in place of Rosenthal in the few spring practices said Wire is good enough to be a starter right now.
I'm betting he'll probably end up taking Deculus' spot at right tackle next season. If Rosenthal doesn't leave for the NFL at the end of the season.

Ed O and John Robinson claim Rosenthal is elite and that he will be a first rounder when he leaves for the NFL. I just hope he stays through at least the 2021 season.

O actually praised Kardell on the show too. I think Bradford battles and basically is first man off the bench at any spot other than center.
Except I heard Ed O say previously that although Anthony Bradford is only a redshirt freshman that he thought Bradford would be our best offensive linemen in 2020.
He also said previously that although Kardell is going to be very good, due to his injury he fell a little behind Bradford and that he would probably be a backup this season and a starter next season.
However, you never know. As the competition is wide open. So he may win the job even though he fell a little behind. We'll see.

I don't think Shanahan will be able to beat out Chasen Hines at center.
I also heard Thomas Perry is backing up left guard.

Did anyone hear his comment regarding why he is still waiting to commit? I could hear it but it wasn't coming in clear enough for me to make out what he was saying.
Q: Do you have a timeline to make a decision?
Leigh: “Right now I am trying to see how things pan out. I would like to take my five official visits before I commit. But if that’s not the case, I feel like I have gathered enough information over quarantine where I would be comfortable with a commitment. But, I would really like to take my five official visits.”

Give me a break, Les Miles was a joke. Hell, even the players that played on that 2007 national championship team to a man credit Bo Pelini for that natty far more than they credit Les Miles. That ought to tell you something right there.

If you add the top QBs we’re bringing in then you can clearly see O is continuing to build a top flight offense for us to succeed far in the future
There is also some elite talent in Louisiana next season at the offensive tackle position.

Well, when I listen to Smith talk about Ed O on OTB last week, he spoke in glowing terms. Indeed, he sounded like he was already an LSU commit.
Then I saw where Foremen said that when Smith goes out to visit USC that he was going to stay with Foremen for two weeks. Then I got a little concerned.
Nonetheless, I can't see how Smith would commit to USC, as opposed to LSU, as Helton is probably gone after this season and that program will remain in disarray for the foreseeable future. I also heard facilities wise that they haven't kept up with the competition in the past few years as well

re: Orgeron is a brilliant evaluator of talent. At LSU, I can only recall one time he boasted

By all accounts, the season before when Giles wasn't eligible to play but still practiced with the team, he really tore it up. So it wasn't only Orgeron alone, as it was everyone involved in that decision process. As the decisions with respect to who wears number 7 or number 18 are consensus decisions.
