Yeah idk. I think it’s an error with the document scan or something because there are also 2 T’s missing from “attachments” in the red text at the top.

The dude also represents the Saints, and represented Tom Benson during his estate litigation.

LSU Law grad, no less.

They contend that Verge's silence on correcting anything else about the email implies he had no disagreement with their contention that he previously communicated LSU's intention to honor the terms of the Agreement pertaining to termination without cause. If the lawyer just slipped that reference in about the governor's office to bait Verge into a response... I admit that was pretty slick. Take-away: Don't ever even reply to lawyers trying to get you to rep something on paper. Even your silence in failing to retort something can be used against you.

bullshite The reference was that someone would be reaching out for further discussions, and the reply was clarification on who would or wouldn’t be reaching out. Has nothing at all to do with the substance or conclusion of the referenced discussion to be held. That is fundamentally weak.

Who is advising LSU in this matter?

The argument that Woodward and four LSU officials didn't have the authority to fire BK is laughable.

I'm not sure who is advising LSU in this matter, but I do think that a lot of this could have been avoided had Woodward adhered to procedural language in the contract and sought the Board of Supervisors' guidance and scheduled an emergency meeting after the meeting with Woodward and Kelly went to shite.

If LSU did have cause to remove Kelly, then they could have sent notice to Kelly of their intent to terminate him within the parameters of his contract. What the lawsuit says is that at no time did the Board of Supervisors (the actual party to Kelly's contract) provide him notice that he was terminated with cause and that they failed to adhere to their own procedure per the contract to terminate him with cause.

I also believe that having Governor Boo-Shay involved in this made a bad situation even worse.

Not going to lie the part about him being one of the most successful Coaches in football history made me laugh when they listed the DIV II national titles and "prominent bowl games" at the D-I level lmfao

Walshe is a good attorney. I think most of this is theater to get a larger cash settlement. He used to be a bowtie guy, so I guess he wasn’t up on the necktie knots.

We have a knee jerk governor who wanted to pound his chest and act all in charge but he’s clueless how this stuff works

And who’s paying these legal fees?
The state. The taxpayers.

Nice going little lying Landry.

Landry didn't fire him dumbass. His reacted poorly after learning taxpayers ARE on the hook for the buyout despite everything LSUFan has always said.
