y’all make it sound like he averages double digit assists per game

No one ever said that homie. Just because a pg doesn’t avg 10 assists a game doesn’t mean he doesn’t impact the entire offense and have it flow better.

I can’t believe y’all are still riding the excuse that we are only losing because we don’t have Pinson. There are way more issues than just missing Pinson. This team isn’t fundamentally sound. I’m a big WW fan I definitely don’t think he should go but he needs to work on a lot with this team offensively when things aren’t going their way.

It’s not the only reason but it is a big reason. This team beat kentucky and Tennessee with him on the floor. They lost to Vandy and Ole Miss without him.

Another season, another reason Wade's team doesn't deliver. It's getting old.

what half court offense? You mean the high ball screen? Because that's about all there is.

Were up, opponents scoring was down. When pinson was healthy. Gains is not ready to be a full time sec point guard. He turns the ball over to much. He’s a good compliment to pinson. He could come in off the bench and create hovock with his defense. Having him run the entire show is a liability

I understand all that, but the wheels shouldn't have come completely off the bus because of Pinson.

If that’s so then Wade did a horrible job of constructing this team

One injury shouldn’t take a team from a potential 1 seed to losing five out of six games to inferior opponents

This is such an out of touch comment. Any team that is missing their top 2 guards are going to really struggle. Especially in a strong conference like the SEC. You think auburn would be as good as they are without KD Johnson or Windell Green Jr? What about Kentucky or Tennessee?

The honest truth is that we are where we are right now because of injuries which causes the minutes for Murray and Gaines to go up and causes justice Williams to play when he is supposed to be redshirting.

Let's also no forget that this team was rolling before Pinson got hurt and destroyed a Tennessee team that is currently on a roll.

Tenn and KY both have improved greatly as season goes on. LSU beat Tenn and UK at home. That generally means a lot in sec play. When we play @ KY it is going to be ugly with or without Pinson.

LSU may very well lose @ a&m next.

Depends on who the injured player happens to be? Its common knowledge that in Basketball 1 player can make a significant difference in the quality of the team’s lineup.

Gaines is easy to guard because all the as is velocity and acceleration. No jerk, snap, crackle and pop. (Mechanical and Biomechanical engineers know what I'm talking about). Velocity and acceleration are useless without the latter.

You are 100% correct. I knew when Pinson went down it would be bad. Pinson controls the flow of the game, thats the reason Wade went out and got him. That sort of thing doesn't show up in stats.

And Pinson was supposed to back up Adam Miller.

Injuries have crushed this team.

You are close. What has MURDERED us was the Miller injury.

His loss has excasberated any further backcourt losses. For instance, as valuable as X is for us, if we had a healthy Miller we probably have 3-4 losses now.

Also, we are in a tailspin, but the season ain't over. We have all watched the madness over the years, (me for 40+). ANYTHING can happen if you just get into the tournament.

It's interesting to see all the excuses for Wade around 1 player's injury.

Yet Orgeron who lost 10x the talent at multiple key positions and still managed to keep the team afloat, pretty much at least stay competitive, and even win some big games...only to get run off like a dirty whore.

So F Wade. The team isn't coached at an elite 8 final 4 level, even with Pinson. So if you want to ride with Wade, then expect a lot of 20ish and 10ish teams year in year out.

Although I agree with you from the offense standpoint, Pinson’s injury does not explain the drop off on the defensive side. Gaines is a good defender. I think it is more mental. Now that they are pressing themselves to focus on their offensive woes, they’ve lost some focus on defense. The effort and pride they had in the defense doesn’t seem to be as high. They look more confused to me…

You know how it is with these guys. They make statements that Wade is a great coach ..a General. The mental gymnastics they use to justify Wade is the same that the O lovers used to justify O. They don't look at facts and have tons of excuses to fit their agenda. It seems that most of these posters are from the participation trophy generation. They are caught up with Wade making the field of 64 and don't care about success once there

The difference is that NONE of Wade’s players have quit the team; that is very telling.

Pinson's ears must be red. All he hears is"It's your fault"
