As weird and random as it sounds I was so pumped in 2009 in the SEC Championship game when Ryan Byrd shut Vandy down then Buzzy Haydel closed it out.

I think the time period starting from the beginning of the SEC championship vs Georgia in 2003, through the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma.

Not the end, winning the title- that moment when you realize you finally get to play for it. You know you still might lose, and you've never been there before, so you savor each tiny moment of the buildup. Winning just solidifies that, but doesn't really surpass it.

I'd say on the heels of the the 2004 natty title, just before Bertman and his EGO ran off both Saban and Henry(two guys like Stanley himself..the best in their biz), and all their eventual hardware to SEC rivals. That or around 2009, when LSU had a recent Football Natty, were Baseball Champs, and won the SEC Hoops crown outright and were the only team to give UNC a battle in the dance.

Skip's ego did not run off Saban. Saban ran himself off. No one forced him to sign with the Fins. They had ego clashes, true. And if I was Skip I would have felt the same:).

Living in ATL, beating UGA twice in 2003 was super special as well as in 2011 SEC CG. Here is a list of notables -

1986 Final four

2006 Final Four run

Warren Morris HR.

First CWS in 1991 while a student.

Jan 4 2004 - Spears' TD was magnificient

2003 SEC CG - Justin Vincent's Run.

1998 upset of #1 UF

2011 Honey Badger's TD return that turned the tide of game.

Earthquake Game 1988.

You do realize that the talent gap between bama and lsu is bigger than the gap between lsu and ole miss, right?

Winning the Georgia game and turning the entire ESPN network into saying, " LSU has to be in the title game". I fricking cried, okay!

You have no idea what youre talking about.
Last 4 years recruiting rankings. But hey dont let facts get in the way of shitting on the program you supposedly love.
recruiting totals on the far right

Bama has 1 less 5 star than lsu, auburn, and uga combined.

are 5 stars the only way to evaluate a class?

Alabama has 67 4 and 5 star players.
LSU has 47
Ole Miss has 28

I'm not sure what Alabama has to do with any of this, though. LSU is A LOT more talented than Ole Miss and have been for awhile. Rushing the field for beating a 9-4 Ole Miss team is the issue. I don't know why Alabama was even brought up.

After the 2011 SEC Championship game.

We were number 1, undefeated, and on our way to the national championship game against an overmatched Oklahoma State team, and with Tyrann Mathieu only a sophomore a repeat in 2012 was all but locked up.

Total scores bama is over 100 points higher than lsu.
Lsu is 70+ over ole miss.
Also 49% of 5 stars make it to the nfl. By far the biggest % of stars.
1500 recruitsa year go to fbs schools and 30 or so are given 5 star status and 49% of those reach the nfl. So yes 5 stars usually mean you have nfl talent.

That ole miss isnt the program from 2011 that should never beat lsu like you said.

Except facts prove otherwise. Its becoming obvious that youre one of those posters that think their opinion outweighs facts.
Now if you want to say we are far more talented than Arky id agree but this isnt 2011 ole miss. Just pook at tge upcoming draft. They have arguably the best olineman, dlineman and wr coming out but yeah lsu has loads more talent.

I put bama in the convo because you said lsu is way more talented than ole miss and we shouldnt lose to them yet bama is far more talented than lsu( the gap between bama and lsu is bigger than the gap between lsu and ole miss- this is a fact. Not an opinion) and you think lsu should beat bama on a regular basis.

Even if TM7 is on the team ther is no way we sustain the injuries from that year. 2012 lsu was the most injury depleted lsu team ive ever seen.
We lost 3 olineman, starting rb,starting te,1 dlineman,2 starting lbs and TM7.it was mindboggling how depleted we were

For about 48 hours after the SECCG against Georgia in December 2011. Christmas coming up. Greatest LSU Season pretty much in the books. The LSU Championship bounce had just come out. I was knocking out my morning push-ups to that for like three weeks after.

I have two, based on where I was in my life at the time.

9/16/1995- a highly ranked Auburn team was coming into town in Dinardo's first year. After suffering through the Hallman tenure and never seeing a winning season this game felt like LSU winning at home could be us turning the corner. My date to the game was tipsy and DTF pre-game, then at the game the crowd was electric, we eventually won the game and the magic was back.

12/6/2003- LSU was in the SEC championship game and expected to win with a possibility of the MNC game following. The wife was 11 months pregnant and had fully converted to an LSU fan. After watching us win the game, she got up at 2 AM on the 7th and said, "My water just broke". So on 12/6 we won the game and we like to kid that my son heard all of the commotion of us cheering and had to come check out what was going on, arriving on 12/7.
