His defense is good, but it's obvious his bat will leave the door open again for Romero

I expect garbage swings every time he's at the plate

Can't hit. Can't throw. LSU calls a pitchout and he drops the ball on the steal.

Any wonder that we won the game in Houston that Coomes caught??!!

He looks like Johnny Bench compared to Romero's defense.

Good thing we have another option.

Coomes has earned a shot. Pap needs to sit for awhile

You are entitled to your opinion, even if not grounded in facts IMO, but what does this have to do with how Pap is playing?

Pap isn't a good ball player. Him being a good defensive catcher is a myth

Romero did not look great behind the dish last year, and his lack of reps thus far shows he will not get a legitimate chance. Coomes or Pap, period.

Why does Pap have that sliding mitten in his back pocket when he bats? He never gets on base with a hit.

They won't come out and say it, but Jordan's shoulder is really messed up. It happenrd playing in one of the summer leagues. Not a chance he goes back behind the dish. That's why Paps hasn't gotten the hook yet.

His defense has been average at best so far this year.

Coomes needs to catch at least 1 game every weekend.

Pap started 40 games compared to Romero's 26. Not sure of the number of innings that each of them caught, but looking at the "caught stealing" numbers it seems to me like more teams were willing to attempt steals against Romero.

Romero's bat needs to be in the lineup though. I am not sure he is 100% healthy yet either.

Coomes will get more chances if Pap can't get his head right soon.

You realize that percentage wise he is getting on base just as much at Romero? and more that Duplantis?
