the evidence I submit in support of Nussmeir is simply his play in the second half of the UGA game. Nuss put up 295 yards in a half where the defense could sell out to stop the pass. He did that against a team that could arguably be ranked number 1 nationally. UGA had not given up 295 yds passing in an entire game, Nuss did it in a half.

Ok. Let’s take one half a game as definitive proof of how a QB should be judged. I choose the game where he was just an interception machine and sucked. How do we determine who is right? My opinion is just as valid as yours with the same amount of data to support it. We can’t both be right but we can both be wrong.

Daniels had over 200 yards in the first half on one leg while the game was still competitively close. See this can be spun the other way also.

Says you. JD beat Bama, bitch. Southern ate Nuss’ lunch. At the end of the day there’s really only one reason some of you frickers pine so hard for him. Make LSU great again, right?

Our QBs will probably play 60 minutes unless we go into overtime.

Nuss may get a few series . Sometimes bowl games are treated differently.

Do y’all remember playing notre dame in a bowl and bk started a qb who hadn’t started a game all year and he beat us . I think it was between Malik Zaire and deshone Kizer . They were both healthy and he started the guy who didn’t start all year against us

What allotment of time will BK give our Qbs in the bowl

I'm going to stay clear of the QB "controversy"/favoritism that's been permeating on this board

If Daniels is ok, he starts and plays as long as the game is competitive.

Not too sure about Nuss' time, he's already showcased what he can do. If Daniels is gimpy, he will play a lot.

I expect we will see Howard get a few series late, and maybe get to throw some. That may be the kiss of death for Nuss, if he looks good.

Context matters. They were up big. Keeping everything in front of them and playing not to lose. It’s probably not fair to judge him on his performance against southern. But if we can’t use that sample you sure as shite can’t use that one half against UGA. Don’t be stupid

I seem to remember the same context in 2014 when Brandon Harris came on in the second half against Dak Prescott and Mississippi State.

Man, we were all talking about how Harris was going to win a couple Heismans before he was through.

The last two games looked like the first game of the season…..except worse. We have lots of holes to fill. QB play is a concern but O-line, defensive backfield, and LB play are of equal concern. But I firmly believe that CBK and staff can stitch it up.

This is a ridiculous take. If Nuss enters the portal, I think he’ll garner lots of interest. He may not give us a better chance than Daniels, but he is a very talented QB.

Nuss is not unquestionably the best option and you deserve the incoming ridicule you’re going to receive for saying that.

If Walker Howard can play without burning his redshirt he should play a quarter to see what he can do.
Howard played in the Southern game. He had 3 more games he couldn’t played in without burning his redshirt. He didn’t get a snap. Doubt that’ll change in the bowl game unless Daniels declares and opts out.

According to year-end interviews with players, Howard is thinking he will play meaningful time. Not just in the last possession to hand it off then take a knee. Not saying anything about the other QB’s situation because I have no knowledge of that.
I can assure you that Nuss is not the best QB in that room.

That is unquestionably Garrett Nussmeier

Is it unquestionably? I bet 9 of 10 of the top coaches in college football are starting healthy Daniels over nussmeier. I think nussmeier is unquestionably a better arm with with a short memory. But he looks much different when the gameplan isn’t come back from behind multiple scores. Maybe next year it puts it together more. But right now it’s Daniels

Take your lumps with Nuss learning to not play dumb while reaping the benefits of his elite arm talent

Unfortunately lumps mean losses. Coaches don’t have the luxury of throwing away seasons to maybe develop a qb for 1 good year.
