Its actually the specific nature of the accusations that will make it difficult to prove. As mentioned by a previous poster, TAF funds are used to pay AD employees all the time. They are going to have to prove what those payments are for. There will have to documents such as emails and such with paper trails of payments and amounts that match.

Are these allegations true? What do you think is O’s future here?

No it does not.

Not at all actually. You could use the description "solicitations of donations from national and international sources through TAF, which then used the funds to pay LSU employees" followed by anything and everything you feel was wrong. The fact is TAF pays many of these employees' salaries. If TAF is funneling under the table bribes to people to do something wrong, that's another thing altogether. Simply pointing out that TAF pays these salaries means nothing from a legal standpoint.

The plaintiffs attorney better have some proof of collusion amongst the parties , otherwise the RICO allegations, TAF and RFB will be dismissed. She will be admonished or sanctioned too. This isn’t the kind of baseless legal leap you want to make in federal court.

Who would have thought a college football coach who likes to hang out with random strange and take pictures with them in bed would have problems with this kind of stuff.

EXACTLY! I have to believe that the plaintiffs attorney is also aware of the repercussions of making such allegations without credible evidence, therefore I am inclined to believe the attorney ,more than likely has, “what they believe to be credible evidence!”

If there is any credibility to these claims and parties cannot settle out of court with a NDA, I suspect TAF will try to push Ed Orgeron out. Woodward would likely terminate his contract with cause.

That’s what I’m getting at. I won’t say I believe it, but I don’t think they just decided to throw something so serious “against the wall” either.

You would be surprised at the type of baseless allegations that are often filed in federal court. Attorneys are admonished and sanctioned there pretty often.

I unfortunately believe that this will be the eventual outcome of these new allegations, and sadly could be the last season that Coach O is the head coach of the LSU Football Program.

You think they have more evidence than the FIOA request produced?

Not saying it can be proven, but this is not some nebulous “throw shite against the wall” accusation.
This is a quite specific charge.

I personally can not say, but I don’t believe these allegations were made without some form of what the plaintiffs attorney believes is “credible evidence”. This was not just some wild accusation that popped into existence during a meeting while brainstorming ways to tarnish Coach Orgeron’s and/or LSU’s reputation. I believe they must have some evidence that could have led them to believe that these allegations are even remotely possible and provable.

They’re accusing the school of covering up rape.
They’re just adding some more deep pockets and conspirators.
It’s not about tarnishing reputations. It’s about making money.

Not really. If you read the complaint, they're basically just tying all of the events they allege together to make it into a RICO type case where they can receive a larger settlement.
quote:
"All defendants, including TAF and the O Rosy Finch Boyz are a group of persons associated together in fact for the common purpose of carrying out an ongoing criminal enterprise," the amendment says. "Defendants committed multiple related acts of wire and mail fraud, including but not limited to solicitations of donations from national and international sources through TAF, who then utilized the funds to pay LSU employees and implement a sexual misconduct reporting scheme designed to keep complaints within the athletic department and away from LSU's Title IX office."
Basically, their whole argument is LSU failed to accurately report Title IX complaints. Adding these elements to the lawsuit allows them to go after TAF, because otherwise they'd have no cause of action.
Literally, the "RICO" charge is that TAF (1) asks for donations, (2) those donations were made to (3) pay employees to (4) cover up criminal activity (no title IX reporting).
It's essentially the exact same complaint they've had since day 1. Now, they're trying to figure out a way to add TAF into the mix for monetary purposes, and this is the best way to do it.
Pretty standard stuff for a civil lawsuit. Find where the money is and go after it.
