LSU might as well not get on the plane. Oregon State only lost four games this season ?

Don't count the beavers out because of the conference they play in.Remember Coastal Carolina! Now that beavers are in Omaha they will be challenged and tested.

No one is counting them out just calling out the pot for calling the kettle black.

We need Poche to go deep in a game. FSU is a good team. Going 2-0 would be huge. I know that's obvious.

In defense of the mods over there, anything related to Heimlich will get shut down immediately. It's an emotional topic and a sad, shocking, no-win situation.

I wouldn't say one or two posters over there represents all of our fan base, just like you'd say the same thing about your own fan base. Some of the Vandy fans had us pegged as completely overrated and an easy series win simply because we're in the Pac-12, but it didn't work out that way. Others said - hey, you're 52-4 for a reason that's hard to do no matter who you are playing. So it goes.. #fans

Anyhow, LSU is an awesome program, nothing but respect from this guy. I hope we meet up next week.

P.S. - "beaver" innuendo puns are pretty played out. We usually hear a few from just about every "new" non-league opponent, but nothing original in about 20 years lol. But I will say, kudos to the next person who can come up with something new and original.

Also - should I be rooting for Wake or Florida today?

You should be rooting for LSU's plane to leave them behind.

We are truly blessed to have TD. I haven't found a single college website that has the following and membership that TD does. Tiger Nation is huge and we own the internet in collegiate sports.

Not to mention all of the non sports related things this site offers. Plus I'm pretty sure Tigerdroppings is the de facto SEC board as well right? (I'm not sure how diverse the other teams are when it comes to dedicated sites for them)

Some of our fans are a little uninformed, but after reading 5 pages here, you guys are no better.

Just look at the college baseball landscape. We're in the pacific northwest. We have 1 other competitive baseball program in our entire state (UO). It's not easy scheduling teams from the midwest or southeast to get them to come play in Oregon. The Beavers end up traveling to start the season or join tournaments in Arizona. The games we play at home in non-conference are unfortunately against local inferior teams. It's just how it is being in the northwest.

The west coast plays some great baseball, and we have a lot of talented teams, but it seems like they are always disrespected because of the competition we are forced to play that is not as good, mostly because of proximity. The California schools have it a little easier than us up north. Just looking at the SOS, there are 2 PAC12 schools in the top 25, compared to 12 SEC schools in the top 25. What do you think happens to an SEC school SOS when they play each other in conference? Your SOS doesn't drop, but stays high.

PAC12 has a combined 28 CWS titles compared to just 11 for the SEC...

I can say, along with many other Beaver fans that we were not wanting LSU on our side of the bracket. LSU has a very good looking team and it's going to be a battle.

By the way, I'm planning a trip this year to see the Texas A&M game Thanksgiving weekend. Cannot wait and hopefully I get to meet some of you while i'm there!

There are 2 camps - there's the "always support our conference camp" and then there's the "hell no, that's a rival and I wish bad things upon them every day camp."

Sounds like most everyone here is pro Wake/anti-Gators.

That's generally how I am too with a few exceptions, have a hard time rooting for other Pac-12 schools. Alright, I'm all in on Wake-plus that was a sweet walk off in Game 2. Good stuff.

The terrible joke that is RPI. Only RPI (or Warren Nolan's even dopier NPI) would rate CS Fullerton's and Oregon State's schedule so poorly and Florida State and LSU's schedule so well.

LSU lost to #1 Florida, #3 Kentucky, #7 Texas A&M and did not play #6 Vanderbilt, #8 Auburn, or #10 Missouri.
someone tell this fool that we swept Auburn.
