My understanding is that he can be involved in a limited capacity. I’m not totally sure what all that entails to be quite honest though
He will only be allowed to catch and block. No passing and absolutely no defense.

This is huge, I believe Peetz/Mangas would get the most out of Arik.... that old fart Passing game coordinator last year was probably terrible to play under

That "old fart" was the OC for maybe one of the greatest college football teams of all time not the passing game coordinator, your youth is already showing. Yeah yeah yeah Brady was there but that "old fart" was calling plays and putting in the gameplan.

So when I want to know something I would much rather go to an "old fart" than a young idiot. "Old farts" have lived long enough to have learned through LIFE EXPERIENCE (witch I bet you have very little of) and making mistakes and that they don't know everything whereas young idiots think they know it all. Saban is 70 and doing pretty good for an "old fart".

Don't bring up peoples advanced age if you don't want your youth and inexperience exposed

Whether you’re old or young, if you haven’t realized by now that Joe Brady was calling the vast majority of the shots, you aren’t too smart.

So I myself can be considered an old fart on this board so I get to have an opinion here... there is no doubt after watching last seasons offense that something was entirely off in the play calling. Do you honestly feel Peetz (a Brady type coach we’re told, time will tell) would be here if all was well with our offense last year called by SE?

You should make an alter. I'm not sure it's possible for you to make a comeback from the shite you post.
It's like every time I read a dumb post it's from you.

Arent you the one who hated Dave aranda and was glad he left?
You are a coach though,so you mustve been right, how does aranda look to you now after 2020

So you ignoring the rumor that he didn't want to leave while pushing the rumor that he is a cancer? nice.

I wish all of these people wanting arik to "go away" would wait to find out why he left in the first place.

I mean,it doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that this situation is something totally different then him just being "a cancer"

Say that he was treated and given medication that should make him more reliable to the program. If he really had a mental crisis of some kind and now hes being treated then shouldnt he have a second chance?

Obviously something abnormal happened here and I dont think we should judge the kid when we have no idea what that is.

Claim inside info, not really say anything of substance, make a “prediction” while also leaving an out.

Personally I'm starting to believe he got into it with the wrong people. The synthetic weed that he got likely led to police asking him quite a few questions. Maybe he talked maybe he didn't but either way they wouldn't believe him if he didn't or did. That's just part of my theory along with covid not helping his mental situation what so ever. I have always thought he's deserved a second chance because nobody here knows what happened for real it's all just speculation, maybe it was just the wrong type of perfect storm and it caused all of it. Well likely never know but if he can figure it out and the team accepts him again then I look forward to "OH MY ARIK GILBERT JUST MOSSED HIM".

I doubt we could have ran the same offense in 2020 as 2019.
OL was pathetic
No running back close to Clyde's ability to block and run routes.
No spring practice.
New WRs had no opportunity to work out in off season.

We definitely need Gilbert to weaken the coverage of Boutte.
Inexperienced WRs
