It is almost incredible how football players can fail to make the BARE MINIMUM grades to remain eligible. There are many guys playing football (not just for LSU) who are damn near illiterate and somehow remain eligible.

Many are not there to “play school”. The athletes have virtually every possible advantage/aid to help them remain eligible. And most aren’t taking rigorous case loads or studying demanding majors. To flunk out in this day and age requires a tremendous amount of not giving a shite.

There’s so much more to this story than just poor academic performance... a lot of which will likely never see the light of day. Kid had some demons he was dealing with... we’ll leave it at that

I sure hope he is successful because it sure looks like he is going to be needed in the fall.

Can he work out with the team and get time with the coaches while he works his way back to being eligible. I'm assuming so if he is enrolled and on financial aid.

My understanding is that he can be involved in a limited capacity. I’m not totally sure what all that entails to be quite honest though

This is huge, I believe Peetz/Mangas would get the most out of Arik.... that old fart Passing game coordinator last year was probably terrible to play under

Last year was a Covid Pandemic year. They didn't have any practice last year.

Agreed. WR room leaves a lot to be desired at the moment. Going to need some boys to step up in Fall camp

If he gets the right kind of help and he's open to it, he can exorcize those demons. I was lucky enough to have the right person come along when I was looking to get right. Hopefully he sees what an amazing opportunity he has in front of him and takes advantage of it.

They shouldn’t try and get him back on the field so soon.

And that is the problem, if it is just poor grade performance it isn’t that big a deal because grades can always be improved on with just a lil effort. Hell most teachers will give you a passing grade if they see you are putting in effort.

With all the returning starters and the pieces added and our schedule this year, this season has potential to be another special season. Having a talent like AG is a mismatch nightmare for DC’s.

But we don’t need selfish performances like Marshall, AG and all others who opted out to be a drag on the potential of 2021.

I hope the kid has his head on straight if that was the issue, because we don’t want distractions this year, even from a sure fire “Sunday” player.

moneyg, I have the team physiologist’s contact info if you want to reach out to them. Seems like you know what’s best for the kid. DM me

Honestly, stay or go, whatever. I’m just tired of hearing about it. He needs to make a decision already. His teammates, no matter how much they like him, have to be tired of this shite

Sounds like the decision is made, he just has to perform.
