re: On a scale of 1 to 10, how fricked is LSU?

Maybe a (1)
Miles will ultimately fall for his own wrong doings. The incident with Guice and a 74 year old woman who speaks about how humiliated she was as she wept without shedding a tear. And then...asked for $100K to keep quiet speaks for itself.
Not taking up for him but this is strange.
The press will not help but will also not hurt this time next year.

If we weren’t in a cancel culture/#metoo era, I’d say 2 or 3.
But in the current climate, I’d say a 7 or an 8.

in addition to employee dismissals I'll be surprised if we don't get a one year post season ban in football. Some horrible things have happened within the program and punishment needs to be meted out. Lets be honest, if you subsituted another SEC team for "LSU", people would be calling for the death penalty.

Orgeron, Ausberry and Segar are in deep shite (along with a list of “b” players) and I don’t see how a lot of them keep their jobs. Not saying O is gone but I won’t be a bit surprised if he is
What evidence have you privately viewed in order to make this statement?

Are these NCAA violations?

The way LSU is currently handling it it’s a 10. If they fired everyone involved it goes down to a 0

LSU has few friends in the places that make a difference.
This could be near SMU level.
We have had too much smoke and too many close calls. If this does not hammer us we better thank our lucky stars and clean up our organization. At the minimum this will be the final warning before the death penalty.

-1. Penn State was actually rapping little boys and the entire coaching staff. AD and upper echelon knew it was happening and tell me how hard hit they were??? A statue was torn down. Oh the horror. It’ll cost LSU some money and the world will keep turning.

I doubt it. We'll see what Baylor gets and theirs was worse than ours and I don't think they will get postseason ban
Also this was a university wide problem, not just an athletic dept or a football team problem - the athletes involved got no special treatment compared to regular students

And those people would be idiots

When it comes to everything that has come to the forefront over the last few days, culminating with the Sharon Lewis lawsuit.
While this may not be the end of all the negative press we may get, it is for sure putting us in a bad light. I am predominantly talking football impact but needless to say it applies to all of our sports.
And even though most of the current regime may not be directly associated with what transpired, the impact surely will be felt i think.
I am gonna give this a high 7 out of 10 with 10 meaning we are totally fricked. Getting rid of Ausberry and Segar will surely help lower this number imho.
What says thou?
I think something along the lines of what Baylor football went through. Ultimately, a lot of bad press, some dismissals, and a few years of lawsuits.

Holy shite! this is not even anywhere close to this
Baylor Basketball, and Football
Penn St football
Ole Miss Football
Louisville basketball
All their infractions were worse and they didn't get anything close to what you are saying
No one will get this death penalty ever again

Bingo. What competitive edge was gained by this wrongdoing. That is what NCAA sanctions are SUPPOSED to address.
People will be fired (remote possibility even Orgeron), settlements will be paid. As stated, this was campus wide, and NON athletes were given the benefit of the doubt regarding their transgressions. Again, no competitive advantage gained by the sports programs
I was anti Orgeron, but he coached the best team in history. I still doubt he can maintain the program at an elite level. Maybe him leaving wouldn't be the worst thing. There are plenty of quality coaches that would run to take this job.

I think the front office is pretty fricked but i doubt O gets much discipline if he gets any at all.

We said this when Miles was fired and it turned out that it isn’t true.
Especially amidst the title 9 BS

It doesn’t look good but if a cleansing takes place and a new way of culture can take place for every prospective worker and student going forward, then I am all for it.

That anyone with a working brain can see that O did about as much as he could do at the time, with the information given, and not knowing both sides of the story even though asking for both sides.
And that the overwhelming majority of people that want Orgeron fired over this, are also the same people who wanted him fired over last season, and wanted him fired prior to 2019 season.

Is this worse than Penn st? If not the penalty should be less . If so the penalty should be worse. I don’t believe it is as bad as boys being raped.
