False he was bad before sec play the upgrade in pitching has killed the only thing he was good at.
And before I get Milan is down too crowd
Milam is hitting line drive and still smacking the ball and is amazing in the field and good on the bases.
Yorke cant hit, cant field , cant run
He is not very good at his position.or hitting

I don't get the folks saying "it's just a mid week game, let him play." He clearly is not cut out for SEC or post-season play, mid-week games are exactly the time and place to experiment with other options at 1B that have a higher upside for games that matter more.

His issue offensively isn’t mid week opponents. His issue is he isn’t going to hit top end SEC pitching. He may draw some walks but he isn’t gonna consistently hit SEC level pitching!

0. he needs to play midweek to see if he can figure anything out against the competition he is used to. I wouldn't play him on the weekend for a while if it was me. He would have to be on a serious heater during midweeks and looking clean on D for a few weeks before I gave him more than a pinch hit here and there on the weekend

It’s not hard to cross train a player to be a first baseman. Most first baseman never played that position in their youth. It’s a way to get a power bat in the lineup

It's not hard in fall. That did not happen with Braun. Yamin and Pearson got more reps at 1B than Braun did. It's not happening April 7th. As of right now, he's not a 1B

It's time for the team to move on from Yorke as a starter. Anyone who thinks Yorke playing today will do him any good for the team are the same mfers who think weekday play is on the same level as weekend play. Trusting Jay's decisions is one thing but is Jay more worried about portal kids in the future passing on lsu because "he benched a portal kid he brought in to start for lsu" over the betterment of the team by benching him for someone better or does he actually think this late into the year, that Yorke's production will make a drastic change and actually help the team to progress better for post season positioning. Head scratcher. His game play is arguably the worst it has been for a Tiger in years. He is a Sr also.
