Beard is also probably trying to get a head start on picking up transfers from schools that did not make a tournament

I’m sure beard acted like an arse
He’s known for that from the Bobby knight school
He threw his whole team under the bus
Once ncaa was out of play

Sharp played 12 minutes for them yesterday and averaged under 16 per game all year. That's like saying LSU is opting out because Hunter Dean is unavailable.

On a side note, Sharp has to really regret picking Ole Miss out of the transfer portal. This year has been a disaster for him.

You never opt out any of sports competition IMO. The game played, the exposure, the experience all worth it, even if it is bogusly retroactively turned over.

It’s the equivalent of opting out of the Liberty Bowl. The players have been working since October and probably would rather rest than play in meaningless tournament. People don’t like hearing that, but it’s the truth.

I’m not sure this makes sense. I am sure it’s not funny and you must be what 15 years old?

Cost a lot of money to travel with a men's basketball team.

So if they opt out, does the NIT still take two auto bids from the SEC?

Thankful we didn't get Chris Beard. He's a snowflake.

Yeah, the seniors who may have played their last game ever would rather just rest.

Basically Beard is rebuilding this team from the ground up. It won't be recognizable next year. There's no reason to get these guys more time together because they won't be together when practice starts in October

I think for the bigger teams that makes sense, but last year teams like Florida, Villanova, Rutgers all took part in the NIT. Would be a good and fun for this team

I get this for those two guys. But they don’t have to play.
