Honestly after 1986, 1987,1989 and 1990 I thought we'd always be good, but not 'that good.' The first one was special/

Not a pic of me, but probably a close approximation of me that day

I was in USMC bootcamp, 6 days from graduation. I didn't know about it until I came home on the 16th and saw the Advocate my grandmother had placed on my bed.

11 years old. Watching with my Florida Gator fan/grad Grandad at his house in Orlando, where I spent my summers as a kid. We had already beaten Florida twice and eliminated them, advancing to the title game vs the Shockers. Ultimate bragging rights (in baseball at least) Spurrier was just getting started. Some of my fondest memories, watching sports, attending games, with my Grandad. Vividly remember watching Todd Walker rip the shot to right to beat the dirt bags and advance to the championship again 2 years later as well. Once again, over Wichita State.

I was at Mallard Cove golf course. Fresh off of walking 36 holes(and about 240 strokes) me and a few of my buddies were in the grill waiting for our parents to come get us. I'll never forget it.

Lived in Atlanta for the summer for my first co-op semester while at LSU. Got to ride the Braves' worst-to-first season.

30 mins after that game I was selling bootleg championship t-shirts on Stanford Ave. Sold everything we had in under 30 mins. Mad cash at that age.

Not a great memory. The 25th was wonderful, but I recall this. Finally getting myself together after an awful divorce. Was watching lots of baseball at the time. But 25 years ago was wonderful!!! 30, not so much.

Funny how great memories blend.

Had just finished my junior year of high school. I had a summer baseball game earlier that day and we all went to a teammates house to watch the game.

At my friend’s house down the street.

The moment LSU won his dad said “we have to drive to campus and start honking the horn! Everybody is going to be there doing it!” So he made us get in the car and off we went. When we got to campus (about 10 minutes later) we were the ONLY car honking like crazy. The other drivers on the road were completely confused as to what this bozo was doing.

What made things worse was he drove like a mad man in a HOT, cramped old car. So much so that I got car sick and barfed.

What a day!!!

Rosenblatt stadium with my pop. We went again in 96 and witnessed the walk off. I sure do miss my old man.

Homedale Inn in Lakeview watching with many LSU fans and legendary LSU superfan Jeremiah Hynes bartending.

Same for the 1993 Championship game. 1993 CWS Championship game

Few dominated in the CWS like that 1991 team did throughout and like Brett Laxton did in the 1993 Championship.

LSU Baseball wouldn't register with me for 5 more years. In June 91 I was heading to 11th grade at Woodlawn High.
Working at Blue Bayou trying to date every 15-17 yr old girl in the 4 parish metro area
