The win is good, of course, but rational fans look deeper and are concerned about maximizing our potential, which will mean a lot more when we play better teams on our schedule. Just saying "we won" and mindlessly being happy is too simplistic.
This post will be ignored

Might as well just sit back and accept it, it will be much less stressful that way.
You're just in denial...
What you're saying is, you wont' go through the emotional engagement that's part of being a fan that expects victory.
When LSU is ranked in the the top 5 I suspect you will be willing to hang your LSU flag without shame or fear.

Games like last night just aren't entertaining to me and LSU really hasn't been entertaining in a long time.

We won the fricking game. I'm glad it didn't bother you. If wins bothered you than something is fricking wrong with you.
I think the OP is pathetic in that he's unable to handle the ups and downs of the game and seems to find comfort in the fact that he doesn't care as much as he used to.
But, there were legitimate issues in that game. And, as a generally positive fan, the coaching last night did demand some criticism.
This board has a habit of overreacting and bitching when there really isn't anything to bitch about. But, last night wasn't one of those times. Last night, the fear of opening up the offense almost cost us the game (about as close as you can come). And, that game, to any objective viewer, had two opponents that weren't really that close. It should have been an easy win.

Good thing the road sec win didn't "bother" you.

Welcome to growing up. I still enjoy the games but it is far from being the end of the world if they lose.

2011 was a garbage year? Wow.

What's funny to me is all the fans on here screaming about this offensive philosophy when this is what we've had for more than 5 years now, as if they are just now coming to terms with it.
In 2013 we had a good balanced attack, so that's what we dont understand about what happened last night. Now that we have a capable QB again, we dont use him? When he's actually making some big time throws too?

I predict we will go 14-0 and win the NC
it's our time! that D is NASTY
and that O, runs and passes at will. Refs cost us 30 points. Would have been a 50-3 blowout with fair calling.
I really think we are going to dominate every team just like we did last night
and that was on the road in hostile environment
and our first game of year

We have had 3 great years in my opinion. 06, 07 and 2013. The rest of the years were pure garbage. Same song and dance every year.
And you come back year after year. Says a lot about your mental ability doesn't it?

Know what you mean. Have followed for 45+ years and they have not been entertaining for some time. Let the season tickets go a while back and bought a 60" screen to watch movies and ball games on. I could give my take, but don't feel like getting banned by the PC police.

I'm not even saying that.
I'm willing to accept that Harris isn't anywhere near where Mettenberger was in 2013. And, I'm willing to accept that we're going to bring Harris along slowly to continue his development and get some skins on the wall for him.
But, I can't excuse not throwing the ball with a 8 point lead on early down in an attempt to keep the game in a manageable situation. I can't accept that the alternative (allowing the opponent to have a real option to beat you) was less risky than that.

mindlessly being happy
So you are mindless if you are happy about a win against a ranked SEC opponent on the road in your first game of the season?
No wonder everyone here thinks you are a retard.

It was Harris' first win as a starter. On the road. Against a sec west team. We were careful with him and leaned on a very dominant rushing attack. Nothing wrong with that. We will expand our calls in the future.

Then don't accept it. Do something about it.
