One possibility is that maybe you're just an adult now. At the end of the day, this a game played by 18-23 year olds. It's not worth truly being upset over. It's one thing to enjoy it, but if it truly alters your world, there's an issue.
That said, the beginning of your post makes it out like you don't really care that much anymore, and the rest of the post clearly indicates that that isn't the case at all. You clearly still care or you wouldn't have been so melodramatic about it.

One thing a good recruiter can do at LSU, Sign quality athletes. Almost every player who started for LSU was a higher rated recruit than his counterpart on the Bulldog team.

The kid actually did ok at QB last night. He is a sophomore and they are going to bring him along. When we win, I am happy. When we lose, it's not the end of the world anymore. shite does happen.

and it cost us numerous games we should win. we were fortunate they missed the fg.. and then miles calls a 2nd timeout.. how predictable.. giving them yet another attempt at beating us at the last second. that would have just been the ultimate dagger..
LSU does not have to subject itself to such 50/50 odds against inferior teams is all.. why make it this hard to begin with? miles himself said we have to be more balanced.. yet we weren't and his philosophy nearly cost us a game in which we dominated the majority of the time. it cost us games just last season..
it's just frustrating.. and as the OP said.. just accept it.. but i refuse to accept this as the standard at LSU. they have too much talent for this.. to be held back, handcuffed..
i was so thrilled at the first half. so thrilled. and then he reverted back to stubborn Miles.. and being afraid of the offense. man, we need some fricking confidence in all our players again. we need to be able to rely on the team, rather than just 1 guy. we must find balance, as becoming one dimensional will cost us.
i would much prefer 3-4 tds passing tds with an int or 2.. then no tds. there are too many 3 and outs trying to force a run in obvious running situations in the entire second half.
as many 3 and outs we take.. those are essentially turnovers which leave our defense incredibly gassed. meanwhile the other teams playing catch up and in pass happy mode.. driving right down on our tired D.
just tired of LSU playing so afraid on offense. we recruit some fantastic players. i mean absolute studs at the skill position..

Press rewind, then press play next game.
Then sit back and listen how ungrateful you are because you are level headed and able to see the glaring idiocy of our second half approach.
Miss St is just a shitty team. Any team with a pulse would have easily beaten us playing the 2nd half as we did.
I sure expected the sloppiness on the part of the players. But it sure is evident that the staff is run by Les and will employ the same chocking schemes as always and handcuff on of the greatest groups of talent ever.

I really changed my perspective on sports in general following the 2012 season
The most frustrating thing about this is the fixed mindset exhibited. Putting Les aside, I have come to realize that anytime I encounter a fixed mindset individual (believes strictly in innate abilities, does not adapt well, toils with conviction that he /she is always right), it typically leads to a very frustrating interaction. Growth minded individuals thrive under challenges and being challenged. They welcome failure if it leads to improvement /refinement. Some of the most successful people on the planet and in sport are growth minded (Steve Jobs, Micheal Jordan, etc). Read the book Mindset for numerous real world examples.
Les appears to be fixed mindset to a fault (running into a 10 man box, predictable game management, no answers/ adjustments in NC). This strategy holds up great against inferior talent, but when facing equally elite talent, the growth mindset team will prevail more often than not.
So there. Les and the coaching staff owe me and the whining contingent nothing. I will support the Tigers, but sadly use these could have been teams as examples for my sons on the consequences of being fixed in their mindset (in keeping with the theme of using this frustration/potentially negative situation as a tool for them to grow). I'd bet my house (trailer, probably, for half the people on this board) that MSU isn't ranked at year-end. They're not nearly as good as many other teams we'll play. But the pumpers are just tingly about this win. My god.

They have the best QB in the SEC and one of the best offensive minds in the game as a HC. Plus this was LSU 's first game and it was on the road and it was in conference in division.
I'd say that's a pretty big win.

And I'll add, most of us have got to experience the highest highs that most fans do not get to enjoy. We've witnessed 2 national championships and a Super Bowl win.
