I'd also be curious to know if Nuss compensation would change if he was out for the season.

Considering his agent is Trace Armstrong, I would find this highly unlikely.

and Kelly played him anyway

Because Kelly had no choice. Van Buren would not have won @Clemson in week 1 and Florida early in the season.

Kelly's problem is he put everything into recruiting Bryce Underwood and did not recruit another QB. When Bryce flipped, he was left without options and by the he had already checked out and did not care anymore.

That’s wrong. Even if you let Nuss play Clemson you then sit him till Ole Miss. it gives him time to heal and MVB experience against lesser competition.

There's blame to go around here. The truth is Kelly knew even a Nuss throwing checkdowns was better than MVB.

Then why didn't Kelly sign another QB? He should have known one QB is not enough, in the SEC.

If Nuss and his Dad had said we ain't playing - he would not have. That's really the bottom line. Plenty of other stuff to put on BK.

And BK continually lied and said he was not injured.

No they win the national fricking championship. And kick Indiana's arse.

This program was never going to win a NC under Brian Kelly. He wasn’t willing to put the work in that was required.

That’s odd that the problem was found two months ago, but it was cured in 9 days for the senior bowl. Timelines is odd

I do think he had a core injury but not sure about the timeline. I don’t know if that is because of betting and rules around injury reports

Most core injuries don’t heal in 9 days.

We may look back 5-6 years from now and realize this was the most impactful injury in the history of LSU football.

Brennan's oblique injury in 2020 and flip flop injury in 2021 have entered the chat
