There is still a lot of quality baseball to be played. Unfortunately, besides S Carolina, most of that quality will likely come from the other dugout.

I don't see too many realistic scenarios.

Can you lay out the most likely?

What do you mean by "Give Up"?

That we'll make a regional.
And if we make a regional, that we'll win it.
And if we advance to a super, that we'll win it.
And if we make it to Omaha . . .

Texas AM: 2-1
@State: 1-2
South Carolina: 2-1
@Georgia: 1-2
Florida: 2-1

This puts us at 14-16 and in the postseason. You wanna say we can sweep South Carolina then we’re allowed to drop Texas AM or Florida and hit that mark. I, however, don’t think we can sweep anyone with how we’re playing. Maybe Cooper Moore coming back changes that. This is most realistic. Maybe can win the State series who knows. They haven’t won an SEC game in over two weeks including to a team we just won a series against.

I would never give up on LSU baseball. And this team has so much talent. I'm in until the season is over.

So I have to pretend my opinion is different than it is?

They're not going to play better. This is who they are.

Really hoping they’ll have a 2024 type run in the 2nd half of SEC play. However, this team just doesn’t have the pitching that team had.

I can feel a legendary 2 game winning streak about to happen with this team!

Agree. It’s past the point of the tired excuse of…well, we are LSU so we will always…what exactly? Fix this horrendous defense? Suddenly roll out elite pitching? Suddenly create 3 to 4 .300 hitters? Get real. This is an abortion of a team

I will still watch every pitch of every game. That is what it looks like to not give up on them...that said...I expect to see more of what we have seen to this point. "Past precedent is the best predictor of future performance"

I find myself upvoting more of your posts. Perhaps it’s because when I read the above, it reminds me of names I call other schools….

No.

Not yet. And I'm well aware of the dire situation we're in. IMO, 13 SEC wins would be the minimum for us to make the field. We're at 6.

I have no idea where we find 7 more. A lot of players have to play better.

Need:
- Casan to pitch like he did vs OU.
- More of Sheerin.
- Jake to get out of his funk.
- Stanfield, Pearson, and Braun to catch fire.
- Jay to stop with the wild lineup changes and get his finger on the pulse of the staff.

We've been fortunate as Tiger fans to see so many heroic efforts over the years. Hoping this team will write the next chapter.
